In less than two weeks, a number of nighttime shows will be returning to both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. On April 22, World of Color will be returning to California Adventure, and Disneyland Forever fireworks and Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade will be returning to Disneyland. It marks one more step in the return to normal that so many Guests are looking forward to. Disney has also announced that Fantasmic! will be returning to Disneyland, but not until May 28.
To celebrate these exciting shows once again coming back to The Happiest Place on Earth, Disney released an absolutely delectable foodie guide. Both theme parks will be offering scrumptious treats. But there was more than just food on that list. Over the years, one of Disney’s most collectible items has, without a doubt, become its popcorn buckets. Guests will line up for hours for their chance to score one. And now, Disney has shared what its newest popcorn bucket will look like.
And a new, amazing feature? It lights up!
Disneyland’s newest popcorn will feature one of Disney’s most iconic dragons — Elliot from the 1977 movie Pete’s Dragon. Elliot is the highlight of the Main Street Electrical Parade for many, blowing smoke and being ridden by Pete. Elliot doesn’t really have much representation throughout the rest of the Park, so it is always fun to see him in this parade.
Elliot will not be the only parade float shrunken down into an adorable piece of merchandise. One of the parade’s adorable turtles — complete with glasses — will become Disney’s newest sipper. And sticking with the theme, it also lights up!
Disney even released a video of Elliot and the turtle, which you can watch below.
Both the Elliot popcorn bucket and the new turtle sipper will come with fun lanyards attached to them. The lanyards feature other floats in the parade and celebrate the fact that the Main Street Electrical Parade is 50 years old! For those who want to celebrate the parade, even more, Disney is also offering a fun merchandise and a dining package with premium seating.
Both the popcorn bucket and the sipper will only be available while supplies last. However, if they prove to be incredibly popular, Disney may continue to order them for a while. Each Guest is limited to purchasing two of each item. Now, the Main Street Electrical Parade — and its new merchandise — will only be at Disneyland Resort for a limited time, so make your way down there soon to snag yours!
