For the first time ever, Disneyland will be hosting its very own Christmas party called Merriest Nites. The news of this brand-new after-hours experience was loved by Disneyland Guests who, for years, have watched Walt Disney World host Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and now Very Merriest After Hours. Merriest Nites will only take place for five nights this holiday season, so all dates sold out relatively quickly.
Merriest Nites will take place inside Disneyland Park and will feature six Christmas parties hosted by Disney characters throughout the Park. Guests can celebrate with Miguel from Coco in Frontierland, Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog in New Orleans Square, Lilo and Stitch in Adventureland, and even Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland. In addition to the parties, there will also be specialty food and merchandise that will be available exclusively for Guests attending the event.
In celebration of this brand-new Disneyland holiday experience, Disney decided to give the hosts — Mickey and Minnie Mouse — a festive makeover. Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock took to social media and shared the fun outfits that Mickey and Minnie will be wearing at Merriest Nites, and they may look very familiar to those who love to watch Mickey’s Christmas Carol every year.

Here is more information on Merriest Nites from the Disneyland Resort website:
Our classic holiday favorites have some new twists! Mickey Mouse has invited many of his friends to host 6 themed parties throughout Disneyland Park on select nights—so you can celebrate the season in a merry new way.
During this separately ticketed holiday event, you can enjoy after-hours admission to Disneyland Park with limited capacity, including select attractions and entertainment, unique Disney Character sightings, A Christmas Fantasy Parade, snowfall on Main Street, U.S.A., themed photo ops, unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads from the event, themed menu items, live bands, dance parties and the opportunity to purchase special event-themed merchandise!
Disney Merriest Nites will begin at 8 p.m. on event nights, which means that Disneyland Park will close early on those nights. Guests with Merriest Nites tickets can even get into Disneyland as early as 5 p.m., so non-event Guests may notice a sharp increase in crowds beginning at 5 p.m. on those nights. Guests with Park Hopper tickets are welcome to head over to Disney California Adventure Park
