Disney Dining Serving up the latest Disney Eats, Treats, News, and More!
When you are visiting the Walt Disney World Resort, an essential part of planning the perfect vacation will be knowing what the Park hours are for Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and EPCOT — and even the water parks if you plan on visiting those. Disney World typically releases its Park hours about six months in advance, so Guests can see what Parks will work best for the days that they are visiting.

Disney always notes that its Park hours and schedules are subject to change, and it looks like that has happened in the case of Magic Kingdom Park on January 25, 2022. Guests visiting the Park will have to leave by 4:30 pm as the Park will be closing early. At this time, Disney has not said why the Magic Kingdom will be closing so early — it typically closes at 9 p.m. daily during that time of year — but many are speculating that Disney is having its annual Cast Member appreciation day. Typically, the event is held in November, but it seems that this year’s celebration will be in January.

For Guests that do not have the Park Hopper option added to their theme park ticket, they may want to consider visiting one of the other three theme parks that day. The only Guests who will be able to visit the Magic Kingdom in the morning and another Park in the afternoon are those that have the Park Hopper option. It is also important to remember that the other Parks may be more crowded than usual because of the closure.

For Guests who will be visiting the Magic Kingdom that day and cannot Park Hop, January 25 may be the perfect day to explore everything that Disney Springs has to offer, or maybe enjoy some relaxation time by their resort swimming pool. They can also enjoy doing a Disney fan favorite, the monorail resort crawl! There is so much to see and do at Walt Disney World that the day will most certainly not be boring

January 25 is the only day that the Magic Kingdom will be closing early, and it will be the only theme park closing early. Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios will all operate at their normal hours.
