If there is one thing that Disney knows how to do really well, it’s creating beautiful gardens. Disney’s horticulturists work incredibly hard to keep things beautiful 365 days a year and, for certain events like the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, they create absolutely stunning topiaries. Disney’s Horticultural Cast Members come in when the Parks are closed to make sure everything looks fresh and new when Guests enter through the gates the next morning. Doing their job is not easy and, unfortunately, not everyone appreciates the hard work that goes into keeping every area of a Disney Park as beautiful as the next.

Guest behavior at Disney Parks constantly seems to be going downhill, with fights and misbehaving happening more and more frequently. TikToker Hannah (happywith.hannah) recently visited EPCOT at the Walt Disney World Resort and witnessed her own shocking instance of Guest misbehavior. Luckily, there was no fight, but two Guests climbed over a fence, into a restricted area, trampling lovely plants so that they could get a picture.

The incident happened while Hannah was in the France pavilion at the EPCOT World Showcase. The Guests in question wanted a picture with a large Chef Remy statue and did what they wanted to get the picture. You can watch the startling video below.

The Remy statue is relatively new, having been put in when Disney opened the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction in the France pavilion in October 2021. Even though the statue offers a great photo opportunity, it was shocking to see Guests climb over the fence, trample plants, and then CLIMB onto the Chef Remy statue, which is also a big no-no. Luckily, a Cast Member was there and politely told the Guests that they were not allowed in the area.

Sadly, this is not the first time in recent months that Guests have thrown rules, respect, and common decency out the window while visiting a Disney theme park. Two groups of Guests were recently banned for life and arrested after they got into a major brawl in Fantasyland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Another man was also banned for life for getting into an altercation with teenagers while waiting for a ride in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Those wanting to be social media influencers are also causing a problem for Disney Cast Members. They will frequently cut in front of Guests, go into restricted areas, or blatantly break the rules in order to make a video. In fact, one influencer became so problematic that he was banned for life. He is currently appealing the ban.

When visiting a Disney Park, it is important to note that the fences are there for a reason. If you see a fence blocking a theme park area, that means that the area is off-limits. If you attempt to go into that area, a Cast Member will give you a warning. If they decide to, the Cast Member may also ask you to leave the Park. Disney reserves the right to ask any Guest to leave if that Guest does not follow the rules.
