Guests Caught Terrorizing Animals at Disney; Security Crackdown Begins After Tragic Incident
Ducks have long been an endearing part of the Disneyland Resort experience, charming visitors with their presence throughout the park. These feathered friends add a touch of nature and whimsy to the magical surroundings, creating a unique and delightful atmosphere for guests of all ages.
From the tranquil waters of the Rivers of America to the lush greenery of the Hub grass, ducks can be spotted waddling around, often with their ducklings in tow, much to the delight of onlookers. Their quacks mingle with the joyful sounds of laughter and music, becoming a harmonious symphony that encapsulates the essence of Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.
In a way, these ducks have become an attraction of their own, especially during spring and summer when the ducklings are present. Unfortunately, this has also become a hazard for the animals, as reckless guests “terrorize” them in the parks.

Don’t Touch Disney’s Ducks
In addition to the whimsical charm of the ducks, their presence also serves a practical purpose in maintaining the ecological balance of the park. Disney does there best to not disturb the animals that inhabit the areas of Disneyland Resort, and the ducks are no exception.
Disneyland Resort cast members also play their part in helping these ducks remain safe. Whether it’s crossing through the roadways or moving past the long lines, cast members are always looking out for these petite guests. Unfortunately, sometimes bad behavior toward these ducks goes unnoticed by cast members.
One guest witnessed an act of terror against these ducks firsthand during a recent instance at the resort. They said:
“PSA: Leave the Ducks alone
Went to Disney today, all was good. Low crowds but on my way out I walked by the castle, the little walkways from Frontierland to the circle area with the lands and there was a couple kids chasing the ducks, almost stepping on them. I walked near them and told them to leave the ducks alone but to make it worse their dad was recording them. This infuriated me as the parent thought it was cute to terrorize the ducklings. Luckily there were 2 security guards right next to them. I told them there were a couple guests bothering the ducks and recording them. They immediately took action and stopped the parents and their kids from continuing to torment the poor little ducks. It’s not cute for little kids to be following animals around when they don’t want to be bothered. Let’s continue to protect the little guys.Edit: the kids kept following the ducks, even crossing over to the lake area reserved for them and trying to pick them up.”
Cast Member Steps In
Thankfully, it seems that some of Disney’s teams of cast members were able to step in and help protect these ducklings. It is critical that the Disney community does its best to help protect these animals, as they are easily vulnerable to the dangers of a theme park. If you see any bad behavior towards these animals, it is always smart to tell a cast member as soon as possible.
Whether you’re strolling down Main Street, U.S.A., or exploring the enchanting world of Fantasyland, the presence of ducks adds an extra layer of charm and character to the Disneyland experience. These delightful creatures remind us of the beauty of nature in the midst of a bustling theme park, inviting us to slow down, appreciate the simple joys, and immerse ourselves in the magic of Disneyland Resort.
Next time you visit the park, take a moment to admire the ducks that bring a touch of whimsy to this beloved destination. As always, make sure to respect the wildlife at Disney and leave them alone as much as possible.
Disney is no longer MAGICAL thanks to spoiled uneducated people from all over coming to the parks to “have a magical vacation at all costs” so that could mean harassing ducks, destroying merchandise in stores, stealing, fights, provoking confrontation or disagreements demanding attention or being allowed to stand in the front of the line to watch the fireworks or even demanding fireworks be stopped because it scares their child. The parks do not need these spoiled people that are one by one destroying the Magic of Disney
