Dia De Los Muertos Celebrations Begin at Disney

Many American Disney fans were introduced to this beautiful Mexican tradition through the animated feature film Coco. Coco, directed by Lee Unkrich and co-directed by Adrian Molina, is a heartwarming tale that takes viewers on a musical adventure celebrating Mexican culture and the importance of family. Released in 2017, the film quickly became a box office hit and received critical acclaim worldwide.

The story revolves around a young boy named Miguel, voiced by newcomer Anthony Gonzalez, who dreams of becoming a musician despite his family’s long-standing ban on music. Inspired by his musical hero Ernesto de la Cruz, Miguel embarks on a remarkable journey to the Land of the Dead during the celebration of Dia de los Muertos.

Coco left an undeniable impact on its viewers due to its incredibly emotional and inspiring story. Fans could not get enough of the stories, music, and characters that this movie’s world had to offer.
