Yucky!
Picture this: you are walking down Main Street, U.S.A., and taking in all of the sights, sounds, and smells of the Parks. Smells of freshly popped popcorn, delectable churros, and mouthwatering turkey legs fill your nose. On a day-to-day basis, Disney typically smells delicious. In fact, smelling good is a huge part of the Disney Parks brand. Disney is constantly pumping delicious smells into the streets of the Parks in order to surround Guests with a welcoming and inviting scent.
Unfortunately, that is not always the case.
What Is That Smell?
For the millions of Guests who vacation at Disney Parks every year, escaping reality is the goal. Guests love feeling like they are in the “Disney Bubble,” meaning they want to be detached from the real world and fully immersed in the wonder and joy of Disney. Disney makes this happen by executing the highest caliber of theming in their Disney Parks. Each theme park is meticulously crafted to create the most immersive area possible. Any Guest can tell you that the results are quite magical.
However, a huge element of Disney’s theming has taken a major slip as of late. Guests visiting Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, have been reporting a strong, bad smell when wandering the Parks. Guests compare the odor to that of a sewer!

Guests Urge Disney to Get on Top of Smell Issue
Reports of this sewage smell have been happening for months on end. Now as the summer heat is beating down more than ever in California, fans are feeling exhausted and annoyed by the persistent strong smell.
One Guest was visiting Disneyland Resort this past week and they decided to do a rundown of their vacation for the Reddit community, r/Disneyland. As part of their post, they mentioned the sewage smell, saying;
“The random sewage smells were the worst I remember them, in my limited experience, but I was able to “escape” them fairly quickly.”

Multiple other Guests sounded off in the comments that they, too, were disturbed by the strong odor on recent trips. Hopefully, Disneyland finds a solution to this issue, as it had dragged on for far too long, Fans are getting impatient, and it is up to Disney to find a solution.
