Disneyland Confirms Beloved Attraction Is Closing Down
Disneyland is known as “The Happiest Place on Earth,” and for good reason. This iconic theme park, located in Anaheim, California, has been enchanting guests for decades with its magical experiences, beloved characters, and world-class attractions.
Disneyland Resort is home to two theme parks, the first being Disneyland Park, which features classic Disney attractions such as “it’s a small word,” Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and many more. Guests heading to Disneyland Park can spot Sleeping Beauty Castle while strolling down Main Street, U.S.A.
Next door at Disney California Adventure Park, guests can visit different lands and attractions. Some of the lands guests can visit are Grizzly Peak, Pixar Pier, Cars Land, Avengers Campus, and many more. Cars Land allows guests to step into the world of Pixar’s Cars. Race on the thrilling Radiator Springs Racers and savor Route 66-inspired cuisine at Flo’s V8 Café.
With all of these different attractions from time to time attractions must close for updates and refurbishments. Radiator Springs Racers is set to go on hiatus soon. According to the official Disneyland Attractions website, the ride’s final operation day is scheduled for February 26, 2024. The duration of this closure remains uncertain, and no specific reopening date has been provided.
While temporary ride closures may disappoint guests, they are essential to maintain the high standards of safety, quality, and overall guest experience that Disneyland is renowned for. Disneyland gives advance notice of planned closures is provided through the official Disneyland website and app, allowing guests to plan their trips accordingly and manage expectations.

Kick the fun into overdrive as you buckle up for a road race featuring familiar car-acters, fantastic scenery and “wheel” thrills. At this time, Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure is also closed for annual maintenance. The Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is scheduled to close on January 22 and will return on February 9, 2024.
Over at Disneyland Park, Fantasmic! remains closed as it undergoes refurbishments with an opening date set for May 24, 2024. Haunted Mansion is also closed down with no reopening date confirmed.
