Things are constantly evolving at Walt Disney World Resort.

“The Magical Place on Earth” is currently in the midst of plenty of construction projects. Magic Kingdom Park just opened the all-new TRON Lightcycle / Run in Tomorrowland, and Splash Mountain closed permanently this past January to make way for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. In addition, there have been rumors teased by Walt Disney World about a “Beyond Big Thunder Mountain” expansion, that could include Encanto, Coco, or Disney Villains.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is also in the midst of changing things up. Disney World is rumored to be completely closing DinoLand, U.S.A., with an eye on intellectual properties like Coco, Zootopia, and Moana potentially taking over the area. Of course, this would mean that the longstanding attraction DINOSAUR, which many Disney Park Guests have said is on its last leg, would be closing permanently. Disney hasn’t confirmed this to be true, though, and we could still be years out from the expansion happening.

While there are developments at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Disney Park with the most construction happening is none other than EPCOT.

EPCOT opened Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind last May, but it isn’t stopping there. Disney World has changed the Park to be represented by four neighborhoods: World Nature, World Showcase, World Discovery, and World Celebration. Right now, however, World Celebration is completely closed and a portion of World Nature still remains closed off, as well.

A new report indicates that the World Celebration Neighborhood will remain closed indefinitely. The land, which will feature a statue of Walt Disney when it opens, has been rumored to open later this year, but there is no guarantee on that, as of now.

Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will be a part of World Nature. Right now, the attraction is also still undergoing massive construction. Disney teases that the attraction will open in “late 2023,” but no date has been given for this one either. For now, it would seem that Journey of Water could open before World Celebration opens, essentially completing the refurbishments and expansions for World Nature, but telling Disney World Guests that they’ll have to wait a bit longer for the new land.

World Celebration will be located in the center-front portion of EPCOT, just behind Spaceship Earth. The complete details of the land have not been revealed and Disney even deleted its webpage, which once housed details about Dreamers Point.
