In the film, Gepetto wishes on a star for his puppet, Pinocchio, to become a real boy, and that wish is heard by the Blue Fairy who visits Gepetto’s woodcarving shop and brings the puppet to life.Gepetto is thrilled and dedicated to raising the little boy as his own child. But before Pinocchio can fully become a real boy–and not just a wooden puppet who’s also alive–he must first embark on a journey that teaches him selflessness, bravery, and being true to himself and others.
The trailer gives fans an even longer look at the CGI version of Pinocchio himself, as well as Jiminy Cricket, Cleo the fish, and Figaro, Gepetto’s black and white cat.
The long-awaited debut of the take-two of Disney’s Pinocchio will finally happen on Disney+ Day on September 8 and will be streamable from that date forward only on the Disney+ streaming platform.
