Walt Disney World Resort is one of the most famous and beloved theme parks areas in the world, drawing millions of visitors from all corners of the globe every year. However, delays, updates, and closures happen at the parks from time to time.
Walt Disney World is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney park includes different attractions, lands, and much more.
Magic Kingdom is the most visited Disney park. Guests can stroll down Main Street, U.S.A., and spot Cinderella Castle. Magic Kingdom is also home to different lands. These lands are Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and more. At these different lands, there are plenty of different attractions for guests to experience, like TRON Lightcycle/ Run, Jungle Cruise, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Peter Pan’s Flight, “it’s a small world,” Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and many more.
EPCOT is divided into different neighborhoods. EPCOT is known for interesting attractions such as Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Soarin’ Around the World, and many more. Guests love visiting the World Showcase, which features pavilions representing different countries from around the world, offering guests the chance to experience diverse cultures, cuisines, and entertainment.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is where guests can encounter real animals and enjoy thrilling rides. Guests can climb Everest thanks to Expedition Everest, be up close with different animals with Kilimanjaro Safaris, and go completely out of this world to visit Pandora – The World of Avatar and ride on Avatar Flight of Passage.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios features the world of movies, television, and entertainment. Disney World Guests can explore different lands like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land. Guests can immerse themselves in attractions such as Star Wars Rise of the Resistance, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railroad, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, and many more attractions.
Guests heading to Disney parks never expect delays or attractions to break down that seem to ruin the magic of Disney. Over time, attractions may be run down.
In a social media post, a Disney guest was at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, experiencing Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. The attraction broke down, which frightened this guest’s daughter. A Disney Cast member gave them a Lightning Lane pass to enjoy Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, but that’s when things went completely awry.
“First ride of the day, we broke down on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which scared her. Then we got a fast pass and used it for Tower of Terror. We got stuck in pitch black with no announcements for 30 minutes (We also had no idea if we were in a position to drop at any time) We thought for sure we’d be taken off the ride, but we were forced to go through with it which we did not want to do at all at that point. It was very traumatic and I’m avoiding Hollywood Studios all together this next trip because of it.”
The guest shared in their experience that they’d never be returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios because of the experience.
Attractions breaking down at Disney theme parks can be a rare but memorable part of the guest experience. While Disney takes great care to ensure the safety and reliability of their rides and attractions, occasionally, technical glitches or issues can lead to these breakdowns.
Can’t you just give us the names of the rides that broke down without giving us a description of Disney World first?
