Walt Disney World is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind is the first roller coaster in the world to feature a reverse launch, propelling riders backward into the depths of the universe.

In a social media post, a Disney Guest experienced a rollback on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. While rollbacks are not uncommon, they do not happen often. This Guest was slightly terrified due to them hearing another cart above them while they were stopped.
“We experienced a roll back today on the last launch up the hill before the carts go around the moon or planet or whatever. It was ~slightly~ terrifying cause we heard another cart above us while we were sitting there, even though I knew another cart wasn’t coming into our section.
“It was pretty cool to experience, but it sucks that I paid for an ILL for the last third of the ride to be in the total dark without any music :(“
Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind uses a virtual queue, or Lightning Lane, which Guests can pay to ride this attraction.
