TRON Lightcylce / Run is Walt Disney World Resort’s newest incoming attraction. The long-awaited roller coaster experience, themed after the Tron (1982) and Tron: Legacy (2010) film franchise, has taken roughly five years to construct. Despite having a sister Tron Lightcycle Power Run attraction for blueprints at Shanghai Disneyland, the wait will hopefully be well worth it! And it’s clear Disney fans are still eager for a ride.
So, when Annual Passholder preview registration opened, fans rushed to the internet! On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Walt Disney World Annual Passholders received an email to “Prepare to Enter the Grid.” The TRON Lightcycle / Run Passholder Preview email includes:

As you can see in the screenshot above, the approximate wait time is “more than an hour.” And it seems we are not alone, as several Disney fans are taking to social media to express their disappointment about the lengthy wait.
What’s the one thing Disney prides itself on more than anything else? It’s their paramount Guest Service. Unfortunately, this registration experience is another failure.

The hope would be after several big event registrations, Walt Disney World Resort’s IT Department could figure out a way to make the process for registering for such an event a more seamless experience for its number one fans. But, time and time again, whether it’s new ticket sales, room discounts, special Park events, preview dates, or runDisney events… it’s the never-ending spiral of wait time.
Even though we cannot register yet as we sit in the virtual queue, we do know, as reported by @ScottGustin, that the TRON Annual Passholder preview dates include March 4 – 6 and 8 – 12. Additionally, Disney Vacation Members will soon be able to register for the TRON Preview dates of March 4-6, with DVC registration opening at 11 am ET on February 16.
