Popcorn buckets are all the rage at Disney Parks and on the high seas too! Personally, I don’t get the hype about this much beloved souvenir. Then again, popcorn really isn’t my go-to Disney snack either. Many of you do love them though judging by the lines to snag the latest and greatest (we still haven’t forgotten how you all acted about that Figment bucket).
Today (June 14) quietly Disney made an exciting announcement for the 2023 season! Last year’s musical popcorn bucket tin IS BACK! Though, you may have to set sail on a different sort of adventure to get your hands on it. Disney announced some exciting new additions for Disney’s Very Merrytime cruises and nestled within the announcement, almost like an afterthought was this beauty:

This popcorn bucket isn’t like the others. To start with, it’s made of tin, not plastic. So we can see potential trial uses for it beyond just popcorn. Pop off those removable straps and use it as a Christmas cookie jar! It also plays music! The music from “A Christmas Fantasy Parade ” from the iconic Disneyland parade plays and the images in the center rotate to show classic Disney characters celebrating the holiday.

Also returning again this year is the wildly popular reindeer sipper cup. Though after Disney’s shenanigans on social media recently we may be a little reindeered out by Christmas we’ll be ready to celebrate Santa’s favorite flying helpers again. This adorable cup made its way first to Disneyland and then to Walt Disney World last year. Now he’s headed out for some ocean breezes. The sipper is misled after Disney’s parade reindeer and features a red strap for driving the sleigh or ya know…keeping track of your drink.
The popcorn bucket was $28 and the Reindeer Sipper was $19.79 last year. No pricing has been announced yet so it remains to be seen as to whether they will be hit with a price hike or not. So far these returning fan favorites have only been announced for Disney Cruise Line. There’s no word on whether they’ll make a reappearance in the Parks or not but we’d say it’s probably likely.
