Disney Changes Beloved Parade, Cuts Performers

Disneyland is a world-renowned theme park and resort that has captivated the hearts of millions of Guests since its opening in 1955. Disneyland is the first-ever theme Park created by Walt Disney himself, and it continues to be a symbol of imagination, enchantment, and pure joy.

The moment Guests step foot into Disneyland, they are transported into a magical world filled with iconic characters, classic attractions, and immersive storytelling. Disneyland is divided into two main areas: Disneyland Park, and Disney California Adventure Park. Each offers its own unique experiences, ensuring that there is something for everyone.

Disneyland Park, with its iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle as its centerpiece, is divided into different themed lands, including Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, and much more. Each land is designed to create a specific atmosphere and transport Guests into different eras and settings. From thrilling rides like Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean to family-friendly adventures like Peter Pan’s Flight and “it’s a small world”, Disneyland Park offers a diverse range of attractions that cater to all ages and tastes.

Next door at Disney California Adventure Park, Guests can experience a more modern and diverse experience. Disney California Adventure Park celebrates the history, culture, and natural beauty of California while incorporating beloved Disney characters and stories. Here, Guests can explore lands such as Buena Vista Street, Hollywood Land, Cars Land, Pixar Pier, and Grizzly Peak, and many more locations. Disney California Adventure Park includes attractions from high-speed thrills like the Incredicoaster and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! to dazzling shows like World of Color.

Disneyland Guests at both Parks can meet fan-favorite characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Winnie the Pooh, and many more. Guests located at Disneyland Park can watch the Magic Happens Parade, which features old and new faces, including characters from popular movies like Moana, Coco, and Frozen.

During the Magic Happens Parade, Guests noticed the changes in Pepita from Coco after the long hiatus. Pepita was once controlled by six Cast Members but is now controlled by an elevated platform which is easier to control from the Cast Members.

@sometimescastles Pepita is back in the Magic Happens parade at Disneyland! She was gone for quite a while to get a refurbishment, and now we see why. Previously, Pepita was controlled by 6 castmembers and required a lot of lifting. Now, she is slightly elevated on a platform with automatic legs and a driver! Coco is a heartwarming and visually stunning animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures in 2017. “Coco” tells the captivating story of a young boy named Miguel who embarks on an extraordinary journey to uncover the truth about his family’s mysterious past.This movie is set in Mexico during the vibrant celebration of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), “Coco” beautifully explores the themes of family, love, and the importance of honoring one’s ancestors. Miguel, is a young aspiring musician, is torn between his passion for music and his family’s longstanding ban on music due to a past tragedy. Determined to follow his dreams, Miguel finds himself inadvertently transported to the Land of the Dead, a colorful and lively realm where the spirits of the deceased reside.
