Walt Disney World Resort is a magical and enchanting entertainment complex located in Florida. Disney World is one of the most popular and beloved theme parks in the world, drawing millions of Guests from around the globe each year. Created by the visionary Walt Disney, the Resort opened its gates on October 1, 1971, and has since become a symbol of imagination, dreams, and family fun.
Disney World is home to four theme parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Each Disney Park includes something for Guests of all ages. Disney World attractions can vary from calm and relaxing to thrilling, exciting attractions.
While Disney Guests think of Magic Kingdom as the main Park due to its iconic attractions, one Park that is just as special is Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is much more than a zoo. Yes, Guests can see animals of all kinds but Guests can experience thrilling attractions, visit different lands, and even immerse themself in the World of Pandora from Avatar.
In a social media post, a Guest talks about their experience on the Kilimanjaro Safari located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While on this attraction, the Guest witnessed an older gentleman having a heart attack while in line. This Guest talks about how helpless they felt. This Guest helped give directions and Cast Members arrived quickly to assist. This Guest never found out the outcome of this accident but wishes the Guest the best.
“An older gentleman had a heart attack in line for Kilimanjaro in 2019 on my visit. I’ve never felt so helpless. He was right in front of me, and I gave directions to multiple people and cast members were there pretty quickly. I tried to find out what happened to him, but never did. I hope you are reading this, and are doing okay.”
Another scary event happened in the attraction’s line queue, as well. The Disney World Guest passed out while waiting for Kilimanjaro Safaris. This Guest felt bad about passing out as they were trying to stay hydrated and properly dressed for the weather, but due to the heat in Florida, they could not keep cool. When the Guest started to feel better, Cast Members worked their magic and got them to the front of the line so they did not miss out on the experience.
“I passed out in line at Kilimanjaro Safari and still feel bad about it. I swear I was drinking lots of water and dressed properly for the weather, the humidity was just so bad that I couldn’t sweat to cool off.
The staff was really nice about it and were so quick to help. When I was feeling better they even took me and my friend to the front of the safari line so we didn’t miss out!”
While at Disney, Guests do not expect to have accidents that will need Cast Members assistance. However, if Guests experience an accident or malfunction, Cast Members are more than happy to help.
