With four different theme parks to choose from, Walt Disney World is a vacation destination that truly has something for everyone.

But even Walt Disney World has its fair share of criticisms to deal with. Everything from lines that are too long to food and souvenirs that are way too expensive, Guests will always have something to complain about.
That being said, some complaints are more appropriate than others. One criticism Guests have always had has to do with Disney World’s Animal Kingdom theme park.

Animal Kingdom is known for its live animals, the important research and conservation work Disney scientists conduct there, and the Park’s short opening hours when compared to the other theme parks of Walt Disney World.
Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios all close beginning at 9 p.m., with occasional closing times as late as 10 or 11 p.m., depending on the Park and the day itself.

However, Animal Kingdom often closes at 7 p.m., sometimes closing at 8 p.m. if Guests are lucky. And this is the improvement! The Disney Park used to close around 5 p.m. sharp for the sake of the animals’ welfare. Beginning in 2016, though, the theme park began closing later in the evening.
And it’s still not enough. From Discovery Island to the Maharajah Jungle Trek, Guests can never get enough of Animal Kingdom.

Luckily, Animal Kingdom has heard the people and has decided to give Guests extra time this summer: beginning on July 16 through the 22, the Disney Park will open an hour earlier at 8 a.m.
Not only that, but the theme park will also close at 9 p.m., giving Guests even more time to enjoy the Disney Park’s offerings.
