Disney Releases Photos of the NEW ‘Princess and the Frog’ Park Addition

It’s almost there!

Right now, Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are both undergoing significant makeovers. Once construction is done, Magic Kingdom Park and Disneyland Park will both feature new attractions based on Tiana from Princess and the Frog. Fans are eagerly waiting for these new additions, and today, Disney released some exciting images showing the progress.

Tiana’s Dreams Come True With New Disney Restaurant

Earlier this year, Disney announced that they would be beginning work on Tiana’s Palace, a full actualization of the iconic restaurant from Princess and the Frog. In the film, Tiana transforms an old sugar mill into Tiana’s Palace, her dream restaurant in New Orleans. Now, New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park is getting its own Tiana’s Palace location.

Tiana’s Palace will be located on the old site of the French Market Restaurant. This makes the restaurant the second place at the Park that will be getting a Princess and the Frog makeover. Currently, the old Splash Mountain ride is also being reimagined to become a themed attraction called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

It’s Tiana’s Year at the Disney Parks!

When Disney announced their plans for Tiana’s Palace, fans were immediately excited. Disneyland Resort Guests have been wanting something like this for so long, and it is sure to be one of the most sought-after reservations on the property when it opens. While no opening date has been announced, fans are feeling confident that the remodel is nearing completion.

Earlier today, Disney revealed new mages showing fans that the marquee, wheelhouse, and smokestacks of the restaurant had been installed. The Imagineers at Disneyland did a great job of making this restaurant resemble the one from the movie.

It is so exciting to know that soon this restaurant will be bustling with life and delicious food. There is no doubt that the food, service, and theming of Tiana’s Palace is going to be a huge hit amongst Guests when it opens later this year.
