Universal Orlando has seen several changes over the years due to maintenance, updates, or attractions aging out. Universal Orlando is in the process of building an all-new DreamsWork land where the former KidZone was located, which featured family-friendly attractions such as Barney, DreamWorks Destination, the Woody Woodpecker Nuthouse Coaster, and many others.

Universal Orlando has two theme parks: Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure. Each theme park offers different worlds and attractions for guests to experience.

Some guests heading to Universal remember the “good old days” when attractions such as Jaws, Twister…Ride It Out, Earthquake, and several others were the main offerings inside the theme park.

Twister was a popular attraction that drew guests in. Inspired by the 1996 disaster film Twister, starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton, the attraction simulated the intense storms depicted in the movie.

Guests entered a soundstage designed to resemble a rural Oklahoma town, complete with a farmhouse and gas station. They experienced realistic effects such as high winds, lightning, and even a simulated tornado inside. The attraction provided both entertainment and education about severe weather phenomena. Twister…Ride It Out closed in 2015 to make way for new experiences at Universal Studios Florida.

ParkTwister… Ride it Out tweeted a photo with wishful hoping that Twister..Ride It Out will come back to Universal.

Of course, this stemmed from a Tweet from Universal Orlando Resort leaving two twisters as the post. Sadly, this most likely will not happen, and Universal was teasing fans however, Twister is getting a remake film coming.

Ashley Carter shared the brand new trailer featuring Twisters which is coming July 2024.

One of the most popular attractions that closed guests wish would return is Jaws. This beloved attraction has been retired from Universal Orlando, leaving behind cherished memories for longtime guests. Jaws was based on the iconic film directed by Steven Spielberg, and this attraction opened with the park in 1990.

Guests got to experience a boat tour through the fictional town of Amity, where they encountered the infamous great white shark. However, due to maintenance issues and the need for space for new attractions, Jaws closed its doors in 2012.

Do you think this attraction is coming back to Universal?
