Fans of the beloved movie Inside Out (2015) have been waiting to see Disgust, Anger, Sadness, Joy, and Fear again on the big screen. Today, fans got their wish as a new first teaser trailer and poster was released for Inside Out 2. The new movie is scheduled to be released on June 14, 2024.
Inside Out
The 2015 animated movie Inside Out (2015) looks at the inner workings of Riley, a young girl who has to adapt to her family’s move. Five fun, creative, and unique emotions give us a deep look at how Riley manages her feelings when faced with different challenges.
Joy tries extremely hard to guide Riley through the move; however, Sadness becomes the top emotion in Riley’s world when both Joy and Sadness are sucked into the Headquarters. While gone, Disgust, Anger, and Fear are left in charge of Riley.
Viewers quickly fell in love with the emotions in Inside Out. The film does a great job of looking at all the emotions that we experience and how they are all part of life. The film gives a voice to Sadness, showing that joy and sadness can be felt simultaneously.
The announcement of a sequel is unusual for Pixar, who typically shy away from producing them. We have seen success with the Toy Story franchise and The Incredibles 2 (2019), and Pixar hopes that Inside Out 2 will be just as successful.
As the first film earned almost $859 million, it makes sense that Pixar is taking a chance on a sequel. Almost eight years later, we will once again get to see our favorite emotions on the big screen, along with some new friends joining them.
Inside Out 2
Inside Out 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on Jun 14, 2024. The sequel will look at Riley as a teenager, full of new emotions. We now have a new trailer and poster.

We can’t wait to see more information about this highly anticipated Pixar film.
As the film follows Riley into her teenage years, new emotions are introduced. The four new emotions are Anxiety, Embarrassment, Ennui, and Envy. Maya Hawke will be introduced as the voice of Anxiety, where we will have Tony Hale as Fear and Lixz Lapira as Disgust.
Amy Poehler, both the voice of Joy and the executive producer, dug into the goal of the new film in a previous interview with people.
“We’re going to have what it feels like to be a teenager, the new emotions that live inside a young person’s brain,” she said. “In many ways, it was really exciting. We knew exactly where we were. We go to the teen brain and we see the madness that lives inside there.”
If you want to prepare for the new film, head to Disney+, where you can stream the original film.
We all have a variety of emotions inside us, and we look forward to seeing how Pixar portrays these new emotions that Riley will be facing as a teenager in Inside Out 2.
