The third installment in the Ant-Man movie series features more than just A-list actors, the mysteries of the quantum realm, and super powered bugs. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) features a clever and humors plot point that ties the Marvel Cinematic Universe together from the perspective of Ant-Man’s autobiography.
Scott Lang, played by beloved actor Paul Rudd, has always been portrayed as one of the less severe Avengers. Fans look to him for comic relief and relatable moments, and Marvel Studios does not disappoint.
Entitled Look Out for the Little Guy, this autobiography penned by Scott Lang (AKA Ant-Man), is meant to recount his life and the Avengers’ world-altering battle with Thanos. To be clear, the book is straight from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and written by Ant-Man himself – NOT Paul Rudd.
The book is meant to give readers the experience of reading Lang’s story as if they were actually a civilian within the Marvel Universe who purchased a copy of the “first memoir from a real-life Avenger.”
Here’s the blurb from Disney Books:
This is the incredible story of an ex-con turned world-saving Super Hero.
In Look Out for the Little Guy, Scott Lang shares with the world a bracingly honest account of his struggles and triumphs, from serving time to being a divorced dad to becoming Ant-Man and joining The Avengers. These are stories of epic battles won and lost, as this everyman turned Super Hero finally tells all—from the official account of what really happened between The Avengers and Thanos to how shrinking down to ant-size really feels to the challenges of balancing the roles of hero and dad.
Across his many adventures big and small, Scott has gathered the wisdom of countless amazing experiences into this, the first memoir from a real-life Avenger. Once you learn the unforgettable details of his epic journey, you won’t need to be reminded . . . to look out for the little guy.
There’s even a quote from Bruce Banner (AKA The Incredible Hulk) himself saying, “Introduces the man behind the hero, and the hero I call friend.” So cheeky!
The book was released today, is about 256 pages, and is recommend for adults. Look Out for the Little Guy by Scott Lang is available for purchase through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, Indigo, and Walmart.
