Calling all Disney foodies! We have another Walt Disney World restaurant reopening to share. We’ve recently seen the reopening of favorite locations such as Boma – Flavors of Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge and the return of breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom. As Guests continue to flock back to the Parks as Disney prepares for their 50th Anniversary celebration, we’re thrilled to see favorite restaurants make a comeback. While much talk over at EPCOT is about the new Space 220 restaurant coming soon and La Crêperie de Paris opening October 1, we’re making our way over to EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion nestled beautifully around the World Showcase.
We’re excited to share that the sleek and contemporary restaurant, Tokyo Dining in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion, has once again opened its doors to Guests. The authentic Japanese cuisine and superb Cast Member service are some of the best-kept secrets in EPCOT. Plus, if you’re lucky enough to get a window seat, will even have views of the World Showcase Lagoon.
Disney shares details about Tokyo Dining as traditional Japanese cooking. “Be transported into a true cultural experience through the harmony of traditional Japanese food and hospitality. Enjoy the vibrant feel of modern Tokyo as you enjoy works of culinary art, as dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows overlook World Showcase Lagoon. Dine on Sushi Rolls, Nigiri, and Sashimi—perfect for both the traditionalist and those who like new and exciting tastes. Guests 21 years of age and up can select a perfect complement to their meal with premium sake or imported Japanese beer. For something more creative, sip a colorful sake cocktail, specialty drink, or a perfectly paired wine. For dessert, indulge in a treat with a Japanese twist like Matcha Tiramisu or Mango Mousse Cake. And no meal is complete without a freshly brewed cup of green tea.”
Start off your delicious dining experience with favorite menu items such as the delicious Edamame, Crab Salad, Miso Soup, Wagyu Wrap, or Kamo Roast. The Nigiri Sushi selections include Yellowtail, Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp, Unagi, or Bluefin Tuna. Of course, no visit to Tokyo Dining is complete without Sushi Rolls! Check out the Spicy Crunchy Roll, California Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Vegetable Roll, Hako Rainbow, or the Unagi Avocado Rol. Sashimi options include Fresh Sashimi Sampler, Bluefin Tuna, and Seared Salmon. There are three Donburi selections including Unagi Don, Salmon Ikura Don, or Mini Chirashi. You can also select the Assorted Tempura (Shrimp, Assorted Vegetables) and Tempura/Sushi Roll Combo (Shrimp, Vegetable Tempura, and California Roll). Top off your meal with a refreshing sake, wine, beer, or some Japanese Whiskey!
Current hours of operation are 2 pm to 8 pm daily. Dining reservations are unavailable at the moment, so be sure to walk up a little early at Tokyo Dining to get on the list for a late lunch or dinner. Keep in mind that while there is a slight view of the World Showcase, the restaurant closes at 8 pm, limiting a chance to see EPCOT fireworks from the restaurant which are usually scheduled for 10 pm. Check out the full menu available here. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem that hides in the shadow of Teppan Edo’s popularity. We highly recommend Tokyo Dining to all those Japanese cuisine lovers out there!
