So you’re not feeling it with the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser? That’s ok. It’s not for everyone, and we understand.

In fact, we understand very well. You may be a diehard Disney fan, but Star Wars isn’t your bag. Or maybe it is your bag, but not so much that you want to pack your bags and jet off to the cosmos aboard the Galactic Starcruiser. No explanation needed: we feel you. But because you’re a Disney fan, we thought you might like to know what you could do at Disney World with the money you’ll save by not boarding the Starcruiser.

A few treats to enjoy while you stroll through Magic Kingdom, patting yourself on the back for being so wise and not booking a Starcruiser adventure

Look, we won’t judge if your excitement in the parks peaks more quickly over a Dole Whip than over an all-new, state-of-the-art George Lucas-ized Disney World Resort, uh, hotel thing. That’s cool. Literally. For you, there’s the option of taking in the sights and sounds of Magic Kingdom from behind the yellowy goodness of a Dole Whip.

For about the same price as a 2-night stay aboard the Galactic Starcruiser, you and your family can enjoy this frosty cool treat in the park–vanilla, pineapple, swirl, whatever floats your Galactic Starcruiser. Go ahead, order up. You’ll be able to buy about 1,200 Dole Whips for the money you’d be throwing at the edgy Star Wars Halcyon cruiser. An epic New Year’s Eve for you and the crew

If stepping into the “galaxy far, far away” isn’t remotely your idea of a good time (pun intended), don’t be dismayed. For the same price you’ll pay to be miserable aboard the Starcruiser for 2 nights, you could instead bring 36 of your best pals to visit the parks on New Year’s Eve.

Hungry? Not a Lucas-lover? For the price of an adventure aboard the Halcyon Starcruiser, you could practice your benevolence and hone in on your “just because gift-givingness.” Get your German on, and bring 129 of your best pals (or family members if you can stand that many at once) to have lunch or dinner at Biergarten in the Germany pavilion at EPCOT’s World Showcase. Perhaps you feel more body-positive in your spacesuit. If so,  (and if you can get the reservation), treat them all to a meal 220 miles above the earth’s surface at EPCOT’s new Space 220 Restaurant. You’ll be able to invite 74 pals to dinner or 108 pals to lunch. Look out for those lightsaber-wielding astronauts!
