10 Best Kids Meals at Walt Disney World

Some people have kids who prefer not to live on chicken nuggets and french fries for their week of vacation. Others wish to order kids meals themselves, whether it’s for the smaller portion sizes or to save a few bucks. Either way, some choices besides the typical mac-and-cheese, nuggets, and cheeseburgers are nice to have. Fortunately, it’s totally possible to eat well while sticking to the kids menus in Disney World. The trick? Knowing where to go. Below are 10 of our favorite places to order kids meals in the most magical place on earth. Head to one of these eateries, order the meals listed, and you’re sure to be pleased with a meal made to satisfy anyone.

Magic Kingdom:

We’ll start in the original Disney park. This particular park is pretty big and has plenty of awesome dining options. Here are some of our favorite kids meals found at MK:

1. Be Our Guest — Slow Roasted Pork

If you’re a fan of pork roast, you’ll love this delicious, flavorful meal served at Be Our Guest during lunchtime. It’s served with green beans and mashed potatoes, making it a complete (and totally awesome) meal.

2. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe — Kids Pork Carnitas Rice Bowl

Heading over to Frontierland, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is also a great choice. Here you can order the kids Pork Carnitas Rice Bowl, which is filled with rice, pork, and black beans and served with applesauce, an orange, and a drink. Top the bowl at the toppings bar to make it even more yummy.

3. Liberty Tree Tavern — Oven Roasted Turkey

Looking for comfort food? If so, you’ll love Liberty Tree Tavern. This place serves up a delicious Thanksgiving-style meal 7 days a week. Dinner is served “family style”, but at lunch you can order the kids Oven Roasted Turkey meal for a tiny portion of holiday heaven.

Epcot:

Epcot is our next stop. This amazing park features tons of international flavors, and we could never list all of the awesome options in one article. That said, we do have a few favorites:

4. Sunshine Seasons — Chicken Drumstick

Sunshine Seasons is an excellent option for feeding the whole troupe, as there is truly something for everyone. For the kids, we highly recommend the Chicken Drumstick which is roasted with tons of delicious flavors cooked right in. This meal is served with rice and carrots, applesauce, or apple slices.

5. Katsura Grill — Teriyaki Chicken and Shrimp

If you prefer to eat in the World Showcase, you might like the option of dining at Katsura Grill in the Japan Pavilion. The Teriyaki Chicken and Shrimp kids meal served here is delicious and includes plenty of food to fill a small adult. Want only chicken or only shrimp? Those are options as well.

6. Restaurant Marrakesh — Beef Kabob

Finally, we must also mention Restaurant Marrakesh back in the Morocco Pavilion. This delicious sit-down restaurant entertains guests with a belly dancing performance as they dine on delicious Mediterranean-style foods. The kids Beef Kabob is hugely popular with the younger crowd, and honestly, adults love it too.

Hollywood Studios:

To be honest, Hollywood Studios is our least favorite park when it comes to dining options. That said, there are a couple of kids meals that we enjoy quite a lot:

7. 50s Prime Time Cafe — Goofy’s Salmon

Salmon is an odd thing to see on a kids menu, but we adore it! Goofy’s Salmon at 50s Prime Time Cafe is well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and absolutely wonderful. Best of all, it’s healthy—something that can’t necessarily be said of a lot of theme park meals. To top it all off, the entrée is served with two delicious sides!

8. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater — Beef Skewer

Heading to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater? Good choice! We love the theme of this restaurant. We also love the food here. If you’re looking for a great kids meal, try the Beef Skewer. It’s served with mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots, and apples, making for a very filling meal everyone will love.

Animal Kingdom:

Finally, there is Animal Kingdom. This awesome animal-themed park has a couple of great kids meal options that we know you’ll adore:

9. Flame Tree Barbecue — Baked Chicken Drumstick

Easily one of the best quick-service restaurants in Disney World, Flame Tree Barbecue is a must-visit eatery when in Animal Kingdom. Those wondering which kids meal to try should definitely go for the Baked Chicken Drumstick. The chicken included in this meal is just as good as the chicken in the adult version of the same meal, and that’s saying something!

10. Satu’li Canteen — Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl

Pandora is a seriously amazing land in Animal Kingdom, and well worth a couple of visits throughout the day. During one of those visits, we recommend enjoying a meal at Satu’li Canteen. Here you can get some really awesome bowls, and for many, the kids sized versions offer plenty of food. We are particularly fond of the Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl.
