When it comes to Thanksgiving traditions, every family is different. Some families gather around the table at someone’s house, some families love to eat out so they don’t have to cook, and some families love to visit a theme park. Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day are two of the busiest days at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, and Disney always makes sure that families visiting on Turkey day have some incredible dining options available to them.
Let’s take a look at where you can experience a great Thanksgiving meal on November 25.
Disneyland Park
Blue Bayou
Dining at Blue Bayou, located in New Orleans Square, is certainly an experience you will remember. The gourmet restaurant is located inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, so diners can watch riders as they go through the bayou on their way to pirate-infested waters.
On Thanksgiving, Blue Bayou will have a special meal available for both adults and children. Adults can dine on herb-basted turkey breast, whipped potatoes, cornbread stuffing, citrus cranberry sauce, and vegetables. The children’s turkey dinner comes with the same delicious offerings, just in smaller amounts for the smaller tummies.
Pumpkin crème brûlée will also be available for dessert, so save some room!
Café Orleans
Also located in New Orleans Square, Café Orleans puts a creole spin on almost all of their dishes, and a Thanksgiving meal is no exception. Café Orleans is most well-known for their Monte Cristo sandwich, which they will put a Thanksgiving twist on for just November 25. The Thanksgiving Monte Cristo will be the traditional sandwich but fried with holiday spices and will be served with smothered french fries and a citrus and cranberry salad.
Café Orleans will also be serving a classic pumpkin pie with a spiced Chantilly.
French Market
The French Market is a third New Orleans Square location that will be serving a special Thanksgiving meal. However, unlike Café Orleans and Blue Bayou, you don’t need a reservation to eat there. The French Market is a counter-service location that will be serving turkey dinner, complete with stuffing, mashed potatoes, vegetables, gravy, and cranberry sauce.
A children’s turkey dinner will also be served and will include turkey, Cajun-inspired stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, and celery. Each children’s meal will also come with either a small low-fat milk or a bottle of water.
Pumpkin pie will also be served at this location.
Plaza Inn
Located at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., the Plaza Inn is mostly known for its delicious fried chicken. While they will still offer the juicy, crispy chicken on Thanksgiving, they will also be offering a turkey dinner that includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and fresh cranberry sauce. A child’s portion will also be offered.
Just like Café Orleans and the French Market, pumpkin pie will be available.
River Belle Terrace
This Frontierland spot is known for its Southern staples like pulled pork and pimento cheese. For Thanksgiving, they will be offering a complete Thanksgiving meal, from an appetizer to a dessert. Guests who purchase the Thanksgiving dinner will receive butternut squash soup, turkey with pork belly stuffing, sweet potato mash, seasonal vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie with pepita (pumpkin seed)/bacon brittle and Chantilly cream.
River Belle Terrace will also be offering a kids’ turkey dinner that will come with a vegetable crudité with homemade ranch dressing, turkey, pork belly stuffing, sweet potato mash, vegetables, gravy, cranberry sauce, and s’mores pudding for dessert.
Disney California Adventure Park
Flo’s V8 Café
This Cars-inspired restaurant is known for its all-American menu, and Guests dining there on Thanksgiving Day will be able to get an all-American Thanksgiving meal. Flo’s Thanksgiving dinner will include turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, vegetables, and cranberry sauce.
And be sure to save room for some pumpkin pie with spiced Chantilly.
Wine Country Trattoria
Traditionally, Wine Country Trattoria serves delicious Italian dishes, but on Thanksgiving, they will be offering a distinctly American dinner, complete with turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and orange-cranberry sauce. A kids’ meal will also be available, as will pumpkin pie.
There are not as many locations serving Thanksgiving meals at California Adventure, but that is because the Festival of Holidays is happening at the Park. Food booths can be found throughout the Park, as well as holiday-inspired meals at places like Paradise Garden Grill.
Downtown Disney
Catal Restaurant
On Thanksgiving, Catal in Downtown Disney will be offering a three-course Thanksgiving dinner. Guests will start with scrumptious deviled eggs, made with applewood-smoked bacon and chives. The main course will include turkey breast, as well as a braised turkey leg, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and gravy. For dessert, Guests will receive a slice of pumpkin pie topped with buttermilk whipped cream.
La Brea Bakery Café
La Brea Bakery will also be getting in on the Thanksgiving festivities and offering a Thanksgiving dinner complete with turkey and gravy, cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes, sautéed green beans, and homemade cranberry sauce.
Unlike most other restaurants, La Brea Bakery Café will be offering a slice of apple pie with whipped cream for dessert.
Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen
Ralph Brennan’s is known for their delicious southern and Creole-inspired offerings, and the Thanksgiving dinner will go right along with that. Slow-roasted turkey will be served with andouille stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, roasted autumn vegetables, apple-cranberry chutney, and giblet gravy.
A kids’ meal will come with turkey, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, and giblet gravy.
If you are visiting Disneyland Resort on Thanksgiving, we hope that you are able to enjoy a special day at the Happiest Place on Earth!
