Here’s What’s Coming to Disney+ This March

We are officially just a few weeks away from the start of Spring! Time to prepare for flowers to pop up, temperatures to rise, and things like Spring Break to give yourself a mental vacation. However, Spring can also bring some surprises. In places like New England, a snowstorm is almost a guarantee, just as you’re ready to pack the sweatshirts away. But don’t let the cold get you down! There are a ton of great movies and television shows coming to Disney+ this month. So grab a blanket, bundle up, and get ready to binge-watch.

West Side Story

This Steven Speilberg’s West Side Story remake tells the story of Tony and Maria, who fall in love as their family members and friends fight each other to control the streets of New York City. The original film was released in 1961, and Spielberg has taken it and reimagined it in a whole new way. West Side Story stars Rachel Zegler as Maria, Ansel Elgort as Tony, Ariana DeBose as Anita, and David Alvarez as Bernardo.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder – Episode 3

A continuation of the acclaimed series, “The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” follows the adventures and misadventures of newly 14-year-old Penny Proud and her Proud Family as they navigate modern life with hilarity and heart. The 2020s brings new career highs for mom Trudy, wilder dreams for dad Oscar and new challenges for Penny, including a socially woke neighbor who thinks she has a lot to teach her, bullying social media influencers who want to cancel her and her own teenage hormones. Penny’s friends return, including Dijonay, LaCienega, Zoey and Michael. Penny’s Suga Mama also returns, ready as ever to dispense tough love or a gentle hand whenever Penny needs it. Among the new faces are Maya and KG, new kids who not only have to deal with the struggles of being the new kid but also having two dads, a first for Smithville.

In this hilarious Disney Channel series, some of your favorite Disney characters take the stage and sing their hearts out to hilarious parodies of some of the world’s most popular songs.

Mickey Mouse Funhouse – Season 1

Mickey Mouse Funhouse features The Sensational Six – Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Pluto, going on adventures revolving around Funny, an “enchanted talking playhouse who leads the Sensational Six on imaginative adventures.” The group travels to Funny by calling special cars with a rollercoaster-like attachment called the “Floaty Coaster” that Windy Weathervane (who also acts as an attachment to Funny) winds up to fly over to the Funhouse Forest where Funny and his doghouse-like pet named Teddy live. Funny also has a slide compartment that the gang uses to land after their flight. After the group arrives, Funny presents multiple doors that go to different locations and provide unique journeys. Funny can also shapeshift to match with the current setting of the adventure (for instance, a pirate ship during a pirate adventure) and project his face in certain places to help the group with their situations.

Russia’s Wild Tiger

RUSSIA’S WILD TIGER records the battle for survival of the big cats and reveals intimate details of their lives. The animals they prey on are also in the film: tigers couldn’t survive without sika deer, Altai wapiti, wild boars and Asian black bears. A young tiger, born in a conservation area, will guide the viewer through the film. RUSSIA’S WILD TIGER accompanies him throughout the year after he leaves his mother. His search for a territory reveals the problems facing tigers in Russia‘s Far East, and the conflicts that arise when he strays into human settlements. The young tiger takes the viewer to places where the fate of Siberian tigers will be decided: vast forests, remote villages and the cities at the edge of the wilderness.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

In the film, everybody’s favorite wimp, Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon), is back for three times the fun in the latest film based on the super-popular book series! When Greg’s dad (Steve Zahn) threatens to send him to military school if he doesn’t stay out of trouble, Greg finds all-new ways to land himself in the doghouse! For starters, Greg’s in over his head when he pretends to work at the swanky country club where Rowley’s family has a membership. Things don’t go much better on a father-son camping trip with the Wilderness Explorers, and then there’s the Heffley’s new dog, Sweetie, who fetches even more trouble for Greg in this hilarious family film!

Turning Red

Young actress Rosalie Chiang lends her voice to Mei Lee, a 13-year-old who suddenly “poofs” into a giant red panda when she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS). Sandra Oh voices Mei Lee’s protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, who is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager. Directed by Shi and produced by Lindsey Collins, Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” is streaming March 11, 2022 exclusively on Disney+.

The Disney+ All-new movie “Cheaper by the Dozen,” which is a fresh take on the 2003 hit family comedy starring Gabrielle Union and Zach Braff, will premiere March 18, 2022, exclusively on Disney+. “More Than Robots” follows four teams of teenagers from around the world as they prepare for the 2020 FIRST Robotics Competition. Although they are faced with overcoming challenges along the way, such as having limited resources within their community or putting everything on hold because of a world-wide pandemic, the kids persevere and learn that there is a lot more to the competition than just robots.

Marvel’s Moon Knight – Episode 1

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

“Moon Knight” stars Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy. Mohamed Diab and the team of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead directed the episodes. Jeremy Slater is the head writer, and Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Mohamed Diab, Jeremy Slater and Oscar Isaac are the executive producers. Grant Curtis, Trevor Waterson and Rebecca Kirsch serve as co-executive producers.
