Being a celebrity can get you special privileges almost everywhere. There is practically a separate set of laws and regulations that the world’s most famous people have. Whether it be the special VIP access or the premium service, it’s easy to get jealous of all the perks that come along with being a celebrity. It’s common for the rich and famous to want to check out Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Park to see all the things that are offered there. However, celebs will soon learn that any bad behavior at Disney Parks will not be tolerated, regardless of their star status. Because of this, many celebrities have ended up being banned or kicked out of Disney Parks.
The Many Celebrities Who Have Ended Up on Mickey Mouse’s Bad Side
A few weeks ago, actress and comedienne Rebel Wilson shocked the public when she revealed she had been banned from Disney for a selfie. Wilson is a massive Disney fan, she even got engaged at Disneyland Resort earlier this year. However, her relationship with the company did not protect her from being banned from the Parks. Wilson appeared on “The Daily Show,” where she revealed, “I took a photo in a secret bathroom inside Disneyland, which is illegal at Disneyland, and I got officially banned for 30 days.” The bathroom in question is the Club 33 bathroom.
For Wilson, the ban will only last 30 days. For actress Blake Lively, her ban lasted for an entire year. Lively explains that she was banned from Disneyland Park as a child after she was caught trying to sneak into the Park will her brother. She told the story on the David Letterman show in 2009, saying “It was really scary and traumatizing… They wanted us to admit that we were trying to get in for free and then ban us for life. But we were strong. We said we didn’t do it.”
Actors and Presidents and singers… OH My!
It’s not just celebrities who are getting banned from Disney. Former President Barak Obama revealed at a campaign rally that he was once ejected from the Parks as a college student. He revealed that he and his friends were “smoking on the gondolas,” an offense that resulted in them being kicked out of Disneyland theme Park.
Singer Bruce Springsteen was ejected after he and his guitarist, Steven Van Zandt broke Park Dress code. He revealed the incident in his autobiography “Born to Run.” According to Springsteen, they were removed for refusing to take off their bandanas. He recalls leaving the Park screaming “We’re outta here! Screw you, fascist mouse! We’re going to Knott’s Berry Farm.”
We have to admit, it’s funny seeing celebrities on the bad side of the Walt Disney Company!
