Visiting Walt Disney World this weekend and into next week? You’re in luck! Attraction wait times are oddly low for the usual August weekend wait times, and it seems like a trend over the past few days that could carry into next week. We aren’t sure why the wait times are low across the theme Park. It may be the huge rise in COVID 19 cases impacting Central Florida. Possible reasons are that kids are headed back to school, and there’s a Hurricane hitting Louisiana. It may be that Disney fans are still upset over the announcement of the Disney Genie and upcharge for the former complimentary Fastpass system. Or maybe Disney fans are waiting for the 50th Anniversary festivities to begin before they make their way to the most magical place on earth? Whatever the reason, check out the low-time times below!
First up, check out some of these wait times of the most popular attractions at Magic Kingdom Park. The screenshot below was taken on August 29, at 4 pm. By this time of the day, typically there is well over an average wait of 75-minutes for Magic Kingdom’s star attraction, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Instead, you can sing heigh-ho with your favorite dwarfs in about half of the normal wait time for this Disney ride.
Moving right along to EPCOT. Currently, the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is well underway. Guests are also looking to experience the “EPCOT Forever” nighttime experience one last time as well, before the show is replaced by Harmonious on October 1. Despite the usual crowds, EPCOT’s wait times as shown via the My Disney Experience App for August 29 at 4 pm are as follows for their most popular attractions. Yes, that’s 35 minutes for the ever-so-popular Frozen Ever After!
Probably the busiest of the four Walt Disney World Parks is Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The popular Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster in Toy Story Land is only a 40-minute wait with Twilight Zone Tower of Terror reaching 60 minutes as shown in the screenshot below. Currently, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is not boarding as the ride is temporarily down.

Last but not least, attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom are practically walk-ons as shown in the screenshot below. The longest wait time for this Disney Park is for the most popular attraction in the Park which is Pandora – Avatar Flight of Passage. The wait is only 30 minutes at the moment which is insanely low for a weekend.
Are you are surprised as we are by the posted wait times? We aren’t 100% sure why Walt Disney World is experiencing such low wait times, but if you’re a Disney fan currently visiting the Parks, we hope you are soaking up every minute of the wonderfully low wait times!
