Any time an evacuation is issued, residents find it challenging to find somewhere to go. Many don’t have family members nearby that they can stay with. Storm shelters aren’t always a viable option. These displaced residents need a place to go.

Additionally, when there is a natural disaster, linemen and first responders from neighboring states will come in the aftermath to assist with recovery efforts. This can include firefighters and paramedics, as well as the American Red Cross. Housing these vital Workers often present a challenge due to power outages and Vacancy at local hotels.

Disney recognizes this challenge and finds itself in the unique position to be able to assist. With more than 20,000 rooms at the Walt Disney World Resort they have ample room to house many of these individuals.

For both displaced residents and Out-of-state emergency personnel. Disney also recognizes that it is not cheap. For that reason, they are offering a special discounted rate to Florida Residents who have had to evacuate and to emergency personnel who need a place to lay their head at night.

Beginning today, evacuees and first responders can receive 50% off their stay in a Walt Disney World Resort until August 31, 2023.
