Known for his jolly demeanor and unending love of giving gifts in exchange for milk and cookies, there are few things more associated with Christmas than the big guy in the red suit, Santa Claus. Meeting Santa during the holiday season is the highlight of many a young boy and girl, but Guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort will have to plan their visit a little more thoroughly if they want to meet the man with the bag this year.

Starting November 12, Santa Claus will be greeting Guests at Disney Springs, but you will need to join a virtual queue in order to see him. The My Disney Experience app recently added a Santa Claus option to its virtual queue system. In order to join the Santa Claus virtual queue, Guests must physically be in Disney Springs when the queue opens.

Unlike the virtual queue for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure that opens at 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily, the virtual queue to meet Santa Claus will open at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and will be subject to availability.

Here is more information on the Santa Claus meet and greet that will take place at Disney Springs this holiday season.

It is important to remember that in order to keep everyone safe, this year’s Santa Claus meet and greet will be socially distanced, with masks being required due to the fact that the photo spot is indoors. PhotoPass photographers will be on hand to capture the smiles, and photos with Santa can be purchased on site.
