Universal Orlando Resort is a popular theme park destination located in Orlando, Florida. It is known for its thrilling rides, immersive attractions, and entertainment experiences.
Universal Orlando is home to two theme parks, Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and a water park called Volcano Bay. With both of these popular theme parks, delays, errors, and closures happen occasionally.
Closures can happen for various reasons, such as routine maintenance, refurbishment, or introducing of new attractions.
But one of Universal Orlando Resort’s most popular attractions has been experiencing some issues and has been closed for several days.
Orlando Amusement tweeted on X (formally known as Twitter) about the Jurassic World VelociCoaster being closed for now for three days with no given reason.
It looks like Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Universal Orlando could be closed for a while as the attraction is now on day 3 of no operations.
While no exact reason has been given, we suspect its an issue that requires waiting on a replacement part.

With Universal not scheduling a closure announcement, guests wonder if the Jurassic World VelociCoaster is closed and will not reopen until a replacement part arrives.
Jurassic World VelociCoaster is the fastest and tallest launch coaster in Florida. Guests at the beginning of the attraction will be launched at 70mph in just 2.4 seconds through the Raptor paddock.
Universal Orlando describes the Jurassic World VelociCoaster like this:
Guests will go speeding through the jungle, rising high above the terrain, it’s the apex predator of roller coasters. Now guests can board their vehicle for a high-speed dash through the park’s raptor paddock. Feel the rush of the hunt as guests race alongside these nimble predators, twisting and soaring above the land and water.
Occasionally, attractions may need to be temporarily closed due to unexpected technical issues or safety concerns.
In such cases, Universal Orlando makes every effort to resolve the problems as quickly as possible and reopens the attraction as soon as it is safe to do so. These closures can be unpredictable and may not be announced in advance.
Sometimes, attractions require more extensive refurbishments to update them or enhance the overall experience. During these periods, the attraction may be closed for an extended period, ranging from several weeks to several months. Universal Orlando usually provides information about the refurbishment schedule and estimated reopening dates on their website.
While guests still hope the Jurassic World VelociCoaster will be back and running, the official opening date has not been announced.
