Now, Universal Studios Orlando is preparing to open a new attraction, creating a new theme park area. We’re talking, of course, about Illumination’s Villain-Con: Minion Blast.
This shoot ’em up style attraction is an entirely new kind of attraction in that Guests have no ride vehicle. Instead, Guests stand on a moving walkway, staying in a specific spot (or else their laser blaster will stop firing).

Not only that, this attraction also requires the use of Guests’ smartphones. By using the official Universal app, Guests can connect with their laser gun, keeping track of their score.

Universal has begun advertising a new perk: free wifi! This is an excellent perk because the Universal app is required to check on wait times for every attraction throughout the theme park.
In short, there’s a lot the official Universal Orlando Resort app can be used for outside of Illumination’s Villain-Con: Minion Blast, so it’s a no-brainer that the theme park Resort is offering free wifi.
