It’s no secret: Disney merchandise is expensive!
Every year, millions of Guests visit Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort for their vacation. While visiting the Parks, Guests usually want to buy some of Disney’s excellent merchandise to take home. Disney is often criticized for the price of their merchandise, especially for some of their more “high-tech” options. If there is one place on Disney property known for expensive merchandise, it is Galaxy’s Edge.
When spending hundreds of dollars on a piece of merchandise at Galaxy’s Edge, it is understandable that you would be upset when you unboxed your item just to find out it is broken. A Disney and Star Wars vlogger was so upset when it happened to him that he actually went as far as to vlog himself, confronting the Cast Member who sold it to him. Now, the internet is calling him a “Karen.”
Vlog Turns Dark After Unboxing Incident
Galaxys Edge, found in Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, is an immersive Star Wars world that allows fans to become fully immersed in the galaxy far, far away. Guests can visit Savi’s Workshop, where they can build their own lightsaber, and Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities, where they can purchase weapons, armor, and other props from the Star Wars universe.
Fans of the video game “Star Wars Jesi: Fallen Order” were excited to discover that the Parks would begin selling the lightsaber of the game’s main character, Cal Kestis. This limited edition lightsaber only had 7,500 made and cost $400 for the full hilt.
Finding the Force, a YouTube and TikTok creator, made a video unboxing the lightsaber. In the video, you can see the moment when he realizes that one of the speakers is broken. His being upset at this moment is completely understandable, but it is what he did after that has fans upset.
In a now-deleted part two of the vlog, this creator is seen returning to the Park and being incredibly rude to a Cast Member working in Galaxy’s Edge. Now, people on TikTok are calling out the YouTuber for his rude behavior.
@r10883 #greenscreenvideo @Finding The Force treats workers at disneyland poorly bc his lightsaber doesnt work and he has to WALK to take it back. everything is explained in pt. 2 ❤️
While broken merchandise is understandably frustrating, rude behavior toward Cast Members is never a good look.
