This Spring, one of Disney World’s most highly-anticipated attractions will open in Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom — TRON Lightcycle/Run. An almost identical attraction — TRON Lightcycle Power Run — has been open at the Shanghai Disneyland Resort since 2016. Disney announced in 2017 that TRON would be coming to Walt Disney World Resort and originally, it was supposed to be open by the time Disney World started its 50th Anniversary celebration. Unfortunately, there were a series of setbacks, and it has taken Disney 5 years to build the attraction.
As TRON Lightcycle/Run inches closer and closer to its grand opening, Disney is slowly revealing more details and closer looks at the attraction. And now we are learning that the new roller coaster will require Guests to do something they have not done before — leave their backpacks in a locker.
Right now, every Disney World attraction allows Guests to bring their bags on every ride and put their bags at their feet. However, TRON vehicles will be more like motorcycles, so there will be no place to put your bag.

LIMIT: NOT FOUND_
Lean forward into the ultimate race of survival! Leave the real world behind and join Team Blue in an epic quest across the Grid—the dark, computerized world with no horizons from TRON. Here, there’s no limit to the excitement.
Climb aboard your very own Lightcycle and take off on a high-speed adventure, racing against the Grid’s most menacing Programs. Surge past your fierce opponents as you attempt to cross through 8 Energy Gates and secure your team’s victory—so you can survive to race another day.
Scheduled to open in Spring 2023, TRON Lightcycle / Run will be one of the fastest coasters at any Disney theme park in the world.
At this time, Disney has not said if it will charge for the lockers or if they will be complimentary. Over at Universal Orlando, the lockers are complimentary for a certain amount of time, depending on the wait of the ride. If the person using the locker goes over the free time they have, then they will be charged for that locker.
Disney has not yet announced an opening date for TRON, but since they have said “spring 2023”, hopefully, that means it will be open in just a couple of months!
