‘Good Morning America’ Gets First Look at New TRON Coaster!

For nearly five years, Disney Imagineers have been heard at work on a brand-new roller coaster at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park. TRON Lightcycle/Run is scheduled to open at the Magic Kingdom sometime in the spring of 2023. Guests can board a motorcycle-type ride vehicle — a Lightcycle — and shoot off on an exciting journey. TRON Lightcycle/Run was supposed to open around October 2021 — when Disney World kicked off its 50th Anniversary celebration — but got more and more behind, no thanks to the pandemic.

As we get closer and closer to the highly-anticipated opening, Disney has been sharing inside looks at the new coaster. Most recently, Disney invited some anchors of the hit show Good Morning America to ride the attraction. You can watch their fun experience — and get an exclusive sneak peek — of the adrenaline-fueled ride below.

At this time, Disney has not shared exactly when TRON Lightcycle/Run will open at the Magic Kingdom. However, with Guests being able to actually ride the attraction, hopefully, it will be early in the Spring. Disney recently shared a video of The Walt Disney World Railroad riding through the brand-new tunnel built alongside TRON.
