It’s official: Cinderella and Prince Charming are back together on the big screen again. And no, we’re not talking about the animated characters. We are referring to the 1997 musical movie Cinderella. Long before the popularity of live-action movies came to be, Disney cast a live-action version of Cinderella that instantly became beloved.
The film, which came out in 1997, featured a racially diverse class performing the Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein ii version of the fairytale. The cast included legends like Brandy as Cinderella, Paolo Montalban as Prince Charming, Whitney Houston as the Fabulous Godmother, and Whoopi Goldberg as the Queen. Other actors include Bernadette Peters, Jason Alexander, and Victor Garber. Fans fell in love with the music and storytelling in Cinderella.Â
One of the fans’ favorite parts of the movie was the chemistry between Brady and Paolo as Prince Charming and Cinderella. Now, fans will get to see what they have been up to since their happily ever after.

It has just been announced that the pair will be reuniting and reprising their iconic roles. Cinderella and King Charming will be appearing as their characters in the next original film of the Descendants franchise. The film is called Descendants: The Ride of Red.
