When you visit Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park, there are so many things to see and do. Guests who love 3D shows may head to Fantasyland to enjoy Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Guests who want to experience something a little more thrilling may ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Adventureland, or Space Mountain in Tomorrowland.
At the end of the night, there’s nothing better than heading to Main Street, U.S.A. to take in the incredible sights of the fireworks show, Disney Enchantment. Although, you’re going to have to plan to head down there before the 50th Anniversary ends in March 2023, as Disney announced that Happily Ever After will return after that!
Like, I said, there is a lot to see and do during a day in the Magic Kingdom. One thing you may not expect to see during your time in the theme park is a person who isn’t Tinker Bell at the top of Cinderella Castle.
However, that is precisely what some Guests saw during a recent Magic Kingdom trip. TikToker Karen Summerton was standing not far from Cinderella Castle one evening and saw the man climbing down a flight of stairs at the top of the castle. At first, Karen joked that it might be the Prince. Someone in her party said that they thought it might be someone from maintenance.
You can watch the video below.
Many in the comments were quick to point out that they did not think that it was maintenance, as the man was in shorts and a t-shirt. Disney Cast Members who work in maintenance all have a specific costume, which does not include cargo shorts and a black t-shirt.
Others suggested that the man was most likely a part of Disney’s pyrotechnics team. That team works hard behind the scenes every night to make sure shows like Disney Enchantment and Harmonious at EPCOT go off without a hitch (although that doesn’t always happen). The comments said that, because they don’t work in front of Guests, the members of the pyrotechnics team don’t have to wear traditional Disney costumes.
Though we may not know who the man is, it’s always fun to see something different and unexpected –as long as everyone is being safe — while visiting a Disney Park.
