One of the newest Disney Resorts is Disney’s Riviera Resort which takes its inspiration from the Mediterranean and Europe and combines their classic and modern architecture and cultures to create a relaxing and welcoming place. Disney’s Riviera Resort is home to many dining options, including several quick-service locations that are perfect for a foodie’s Disney Skyliner crawl.

Primo Piatto

The first quick service location at Disney’s Riviera Resort is Primo Piatto which features a beautiful and airy interior with high ceilings, curved windows, and modern lighting that Guests immediately feel relaxed by. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but for the purposes of a foodie’s Disney Skyliner crawl, we’re only going to focus on lunch and dinner.

The menu at Primo Piatto features many fresh items that range from light to hearty. Guests can indulge in Hearth Bake Pizzas including the Sausage and Pepperoni and Margherita as well as hot sandwiches like the Bacon Cheddar Burger, Cheddar Burger, Croque Monsieur, and Grilled Chicken Sandwich with balsamic-marinated grilled chicken, sun-dried tomato relish, spinach-artichoke spread, and mozzarella on freshly toasted focaccia.

The main location at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for Guests to enjoy while on a foodie Disney Skyliner crawl is Centertown Market, a quick-service location located inside of Old Port Royale. Entirely indoors, Centertown Market uses theming and design to emulate the feel of an outdoor street market where Guests can enjoy Caribbean flavors while relaxing in a large dining area with a festive feel.

Centertown Market is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but for the foodie Disney Skyliner crawl we’re going to focus on the latter two meals which have identical menus. Guests can order specialty items like the Fried Yucca Bowl, Roasted Half-Chicken, and Mixed Grill Platter with roasted citrus-marinated chicken, barbecued pork ribs, grilled Andouille sausage, fried yucca, seasonal vegetables, creamy mango coleslaw, and a roll.

Also on the lunch and dinner menus are sandwiches such as the Hot Cuban Sandwich, Cheddar Cheeseburger, Turkey Sandwich, and Barbecued Pulled Pork Sandwich. Everything POP Shopping & Dining

The main quick service location at Disney’s Pop Century Resort is Everything POP Shopping & Dining is a quick-service location that features brightly tiled floors, vibrant yellow ceilings accents, and colorful pops everywhere Guests look to feel energized and hungry. The location is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and foodies who visit later in the day can enjoy convenient ordering counters as well as grab-and-go items like desserts and fruit.

The Burgers and Chicken station at Everything POP Shopping & Dining offers up some classic options including the House-seasoned Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Signature Pimento Bacon Cheeseburger, Cheddar Cheeseburgers, and Chicken Strips. A separate sandwich station features savory bites such as the Turkey Sandwich and Barbecued Pulled Pork Sandwich that is served with creamy coleslaw and mango ketchup on a Kaiser roll.

Right next door to Disney’s Pop Century Resort is Disney’s Art of Animation Resort which celebrates the history and art of Disney animated films. The lobby of the Disney Resort features wonderful sketches of Disney characters, settings, and more, and each area of Disney’s Art of Animation brings a different film to life including “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid,” and “Finding Nemo.”

Landscape of Flavors

The quick-service location found at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is a beautiful example of the attention to detail that goes into each Disney animated film. Landscape of Flavors is a brightly colored restaurant where paintings and artwork depicting the backgrounds of many animated films are showcased. Guests can dine in several areas that portray various locations such as underwater, savannahs, the desert, and more.

Foodies on a Disney Skyliner crawl are sure to love stopping at Landscape of Flavors for lunch and dinner will notice that the menu is almost identical to the nearby Everything POP Shopping & Dining except for their main entrees which feature two unique choices in addition to the same Roasted Turkey Dinner and Walt Disney’s Favorite Chili in a Bread Boule.

Guests at Landscape of Flavors can also enjoy the Shrimp and Grits which features perfectly cooked shrimp served with smoked ham, vegetables, a cream sauce, and grits. Also available is the Asian Chicken Bowl with honey-garlic chicken, sesame stir-fried broccoli, red pepper, onions, and jasmine rice.

While the menu at Landscape of Flavors is very similar to Everything POP Shopping & Dining, it is worth visiting on a foodie Disney Skyliner crawl for its several unique options and the stunning interior filled with artwork!

The Drop Off Pool Bar

The final stop on the foodie Disney Skyliner crawl is The Drop Off Pool Bar at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Located right next to the Big Blue Pool where Guests can splash alongside larger-than-life characters from “Finding Nemo,” the pool bar serves up an array of specialty cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Foodies can also relax in the sun by the pool and enjoy several snacks that are served throughout each day at The Drop Off Pool Bar. An assortment of individual bags of potato chips are available to choose from as well as a fresh pretzel with cheese sauce and Cheese Curls. While it’s definitely a limited menu, a stop at The Drop Off Pool Bar is worth it for the chance to enjoy a small bite in the sun next to the Big Blue Pool!
