Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a favorite Moderate Resort of many Guests as it combines charming and comfortable rooms and amenities at a reasonable price.

The Disney Resort opened in 1988 and has been welcoming Guests to come to enjoy the spirit of the islands with five distinct areas: Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad, and Aruba. Each area of the Disney Resort is brightly colored, festive, and centered around the beautiful Old Port Royale, where everything from dining, concierge services, and shopping can be found. Guests who stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort have many opportunities for wonderful activities to enjoy throughout a full day there, so let’s check out some of the best options to enjoy while staying at the Moderate Disney Resort.

Breakfast at Centertown Market – To kick off a Resort day at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Guests should head to Old Port Royale for a convenient quick-service location that offers a unique atmosphere. Centertown Market is designed to feel like an outdoor street market while actually located inside.

Guests can enjoy brightly colored seating areas, beautiful glass orb lighting, and a convenient mobile ordering system where they can choose from various meals that serve up Latin and Caribbean-inspired flavors and ingredients. Some options offered at Centertown Market for breakfast include the Island Bounty Platter, Ham and Cheese Omelet, Egg and Cheese Bagel Sandwich, Avocado Toast, and Steel-Cut Oatmeal.

Shop at Calypso Trading Post – After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, Guests can venture just steps away inside of Old Port Royale and check out some unique merchandise at Calypso Trading Post. The store sells generic Walt Disney World merchandise as well as items that are specific to Disney’s Caribbean Beach.

Guests can browse clothing, housewares, toys, accessories, and more, as well as convenient grab-and-go snacks, alcohol options such as beer, wine, and liquor, and convenience items such as pharmacy options and supplies that Guests might have forgotten at home. Calypso Trading Post is a great spot to spend some time browsing and pick up the perfect souvenir to bring home.

Rent A Bike – Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a truly massive Resort that features winding paths through many different beautiful areas. A great way for Guests to take in all of the sights and scenery of the Disney Resort is by stopping by Barefoot Boy Bike Works and renting either a bicycle or a surrey bike to explore on.

The bicycles come in various sizes to accommodate Guests of all ages, and Guests can choose to rent by the hour or by the day. After renting the bicycle, Guests can explore the entire Disney Resort including the various island areas and the central Caribbean Cay Island.

Relax at Fuentes del Morro Pool — After a busy morning exploring and shopping, Guests can head to the beautiful main pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort for some much-deserved relaxation. The Fuentes del Morro Pool is themed to feel like a colonial Spanish fortress complete with turrets and cannons pouring water onto Guests below. The large pool area features comfortable lounge chairs, two waterslides, a large hot tub, and a shipwreck play area where Guests forty-eight inches and smaller can splash and play. Guests can definitely spend several hours enjoying the Fuentes del Morro Pool with beautiful sights and plenty of chances to relax.

Lunch and Drinks at Banana Cabana – While swimming and enjoying the sun, Guests can stroll over to a nearby pool bar that serves up convenient food and beverage options. Banana Cabana is a bright and inviting pool bar that features colorful wood paneling, hanging bright glass lights of various colors, and comfortable seating, including hanging benches that gently sway all overlooking the nearby lake. Featuring flavors from the islands, Guests can enjoy options such as Crab Cakes, Grilled Jerk Chicken Wings, Conch Fritters, Jamaican Meat Pies, and Raw Sliced Tuna. In addition, Guests can order up non-alcoholic beverages and soft drinks, wine, beer, and specialty cocktails, including the Caribbean Smuggler, Pink Guava Colada, Poolside Iced Tea, Kraken Punch, and Caribbean Rum Flight.

Go for a Ride on the Skyliner – One of the biggest perks of staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is access to complimentary Disney transportation, including the Skyliner. This convenient transportation system whisks Guests to both EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, depending on which branch Guests board.

The main station serves as the central hub for the Skyliner, where Guests who have boarded in other locations can transfer. The station is technically at Disney’s Riviera Resort but is only steps away from the Aruba section of Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. The Skyliner is a convenient mode of transportation and a very relaxing ride that offers up beautiful views of the Disney Resort and the surrounding areas. A great way to spend some time enjoying all that Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort has to offer is going for a ride on the Skyliner and enjoying the views.

Dinner at Sebastian’s Bistro – The perfect place to enjoy dinner at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is at a relatively new full-service restaurant that pays homage to a favorite Disney animated character. Sebastian’s Bistro is located just next to Old Port Royale and invites Guests to dine on family-style Latin and Caribbean classics.

The interior of the restaurant features high lofted wooden ceilings, colorful accent chairs and décor, and beautiful views of the walkway and water outside of large windows with gauzy curtains. The Taste of the Caribbean menu featured at Sebastian’s Bistro begins with Buttery House-baked Pull-apart Rolls that are followed with The Spice Necklace Salad and the Taste of the Caribbean which features Oven-roasted Citrus Chicken, Slow-cooked Mojo Pork with Mango Sambal, Grilled Flank Steak with Mojito Relish, Cilantro Rice, beans, vegetable curry, and grilled broccolini. The delicious meal is them perfectly concluded with the House-made Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding that is served with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Enjoy a Movie Under the Stars – After a filling dinner, Guests should cap off their perfect Resort day at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort with a complimentary movie under the stars overlooking the beautiful central lake.
