You’ll find many different types of dining during your Walt Disney World vacation. Throughout the Disney Parks and Resorts, you can find snacks, quick service, table service, and signature fine dining experiences.

What is Quick Service Dining?

Quick service dining refers to restaurants that offer counter service, allowing Guests to place an order and pick it up at a receiving counter. Many restaurants offer indoor or outdoor seating where you can enjoy your meal.

Maybe the largest appeal of quick service restaurants at Walt Disney World is that they don’t require advanced dining reservations. Guests can stop by at any time for a meal or snack without needing to plan in advance.

Disney’s Mobile Order Feature

Many quick service restaurants in the Disney Parks and Resorts offer a new dining feature called Mobile Order. Disney’s Mobile Order allows Guests to place an order ahead before arriving at a restaurant.

Using the My Disney Experience app, Guests can place an order ahead. You’ll be notified when your order is ready and can head to the restaurant to pick up your food.

Perhaps the most famous quick service restaurant in the Magic Kingdom, Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe welcomes Guests into a jazzy, galactic dining and entertainment. This restaurant serves American fare with live entertainment from Sonny Eclipse, the iconic singing alien visiting from Yew Nork.

The Friar’s Nook

You’ll find this quick service restaurant at the base of Rockettower Plaza. The Lunching Pad shares the tower with popular attractions, including the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover and Astro Orbiter.

The newest addition to this bakery is the Kernel Kitchen, where you can create custom popcorn to enjoy. Pick a pre-made specialty popcorn, or select all your toppings and have a Cast Member mix it.

Enjoy assorted Mickey Waffles and a Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich with chocolate hazelnut spread for breakfast. During lunch and dinner at Sleepy Hollow, grab a hand-dipped corn dog or a Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken-Waffle Sandwich.

Westward Ho

Westward Ho in Frontierland is a quick service cart serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It may look small, but it has a few mighty menu options at this Magic Kingdom quick service location.

For breakfast, enjoy favorites like the bacon and egg breakfast sandwich and powdered cinnamon-sugar donut holes. For lunch and dinner, you’ll find features including the signature Candied Bacon Skewer, corndog nuggets, and jalapeño poppers.
