Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to some of the best dining options at the Walt Disney World Resort thanks to cuisines and flavors from around the world being celebrate at every location. With so much to enjoy in the Disney Park, many Guests love to dine at quick service locations as it allows them to still indulge in delicious food with the convenience of saving time. Here are some of the best quick service meals to enjoy while spending time in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!

Combination Bowl: Grilled Beef & Chicken – Satu’li Canteen

One of the most popular areas of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Pandora – The World of Avatar where Guests can enjoy Avatar Flight of Passage and explore the beautiful Valley of Mo’ara. In the rear of the land is the popular quick service Satu’li Canteen, a large location that previously was a mess hall that belonged to the RDA but now is run by Alpha Centauri Expeditions. Open for lunch and dinner daily, Satu’li Canteen features hearty and healthy meals that Guests love as they are also semi-customizable. A great option to order is the Combination Bowl: Grilled Beef & Chicken which features slow-roasted sliced grilled beef marinated in garlic, herbs, red pepper spice, and red wine vinegar and wood-grilled chicken thighs marinated in garlic and olive oil. The meats are topped with a crunchy slaw and boba balls and Guests can choose a base of rice and black beans, red and sweet potato has, lo mein noodles, or hearty salad and sauce with charred green onion vinaigrette, black bean vinaigrette, or creamy herb dressing.

Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – Bao Buns – Satu’li Canteen

Another popular option that Guests love to enjoy at Satu’li Canteen takes a popular American entrée and combines it with an Asian-delicacy. Cheeseburger Steamed Pods – Bao Buns takes a classic bao bun and stuffs it with ground beef, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and cheddar cheese and gently steams it for a soft and savory bite. The entrée option is served with crunchy vegetable slaw for some texture as well as vegetable chips and Guests are sure to love this unique combination that can’t be found elsewhere at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Walt’s Chili on a Cheese Dog – Dino Diner

In the heart of Dinoland in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a quick service location housed in a quirky airstream trailer. The Dino Diner is a small, stand-alone counter location near Chester & Hester’s Din-O-Rama that features a limited menu of tasty bites and beverages throughout each day in the Disney Park. Guests will love an item that is being offered as part of the 50th anniversary celebration that is both savory and filling. Walt’s Chili on a Hot Dog tops a classic all-beef hot dog in a warm bun and tops it with the chili that Walt himself loved and a creamy cheddar sauce. This is a great option to enjoy while on the go in Dinoland as it is portable despite being just a little messy!

Chicken Street Tacos – The Smiling Crocodile

The Smiling Crocodile is a stand-alone building on Discovery Island with rich gold and green colors and carvings of animals adorning the woodwork surrounding the ordering windows. Guests who take the time to stop at this quick service location can order from a small, but flavorful menu with several food and beverage options. The Chicken Street Tacos are a satisfying item to try as they feature two tacos with roasted chicken, house-made sauce, lime crema, cotija cheese, cabbage, and pickled onions accompanied by a side of chips and salsa.

Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork – Flame Tree Barbecue

Located not far from The Smiling Crocodile on Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Flame Tree Barbecue, a popular quick service location with several ordering windows and a large outdoor dining area. Guests can enjoy indulgent and savory barbecue options inspired by styles from across the country and enjoy them on a massive, multi-layered back patio with views of Expedition Everest across the water. The Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork is a filling meal option that tops creamy baked macaroni and cheese with smoked and saucy pulled pork, crunchy onion rings, and coleslaw for a meal that is big enough to share.

Breakfast Bowl – Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes

Guests looking for a quick service breakfast item in Disney’s Animal Kingdom should head to the Asia area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom for a convenient location with relaxing seating. Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafés features several ordering counters and a large outdoor patio with seating that allows Guests to enjoy the atmosphere of the area while dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast menu features several delicious options including the Breakfast Bowl with scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese, breakfast potatoes, peppers, and onions to fill up for a long day in the park!

Sweet-and-Sour Tempura Shrimp – Yak & Yeti Local Foods Café

Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes also serves up some wonderful lunch and dinner options with a menu that focuses more on Asian-inspired items with flavors from around the world. While there are several great choices, Guests will certainly enjoy the Sweet-and-Sour Tempura Shrimp which is served with white rice and pairs well with a side of crispy Pork Egg Rolls.

Walt’s Main Street Fried Chicken Sandwich – Restaurantosaurus

Dinoland in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to the quick service Restaurantosaurus which is open daily for lunch and dinner. The location is a quirky atmosphere with lots of humorous touches left behind by the students at the nearby Dino Institute and Guests have several indoor dining rooms to choose from as well as limited outdoor seating. The menu at Restaurantosaurus focuses mainly on American classics such as burgers, but is also currently featuring a special item from the 50th anniversary celebration. Walt’s Main Street Fried Chicken Sandwich features a piece of crispy fried chicken, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and roasted garlic aioli on a warm brioche bun served with fries.

Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza – Pizzafari

Discovery Island in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is also home to another quick service location that features classic pizza options in a vibrant environment. Pizzafari welcomes Guests into five dining rooms, each beautifully decorated with bright murals and carvings that focus on different types of animals. A truly filling option at Pizzafari that Guests can order for lunch and dinner is the Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza which is freshly baked with tomato sauce, pepperoni, sausage, and cheese and comes served with a small Caesar salad to balance it out.
