SO EXCITED! Guests can do more aboard the Disney Wish than on any other cruise ship
There’s been a lot of talk about the newest member of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Wish.
The first of three new ships coming to the fleet by 2025, the Disney Wish will sail its maiden voyage on June 9, 2022, when it begins its inaugural season complete with itineraries for sailings departing Port Canaveral, Florida, bound for the Eastern and Western Caribbean Islands and Disney’s Castaway Cay.
Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship boasts experiences unlike any aboard the ships in the Disney fleet so far. Guests aboard the Disney Wish will enjoy endless opportunities to experience the Magic of Disney and make memories that will last a lifetime.
In fact, Guests will experience the Magic on the Disney Wish with offerings not found on other ships in the fleet.
Stay, play, and sleep in the ship’s funnel
The Disney Wish offers Guests the choice of booking the Concierge Wish Tower Suite that’s nestled within one of the ship’s trademark red funnels.
The first-of-its-kind two-story suite’s design is inspired by Disney’s Moana and encompasses 1,966 square feet of living space that includes 2 main bedrooms with king beds, a children’s room with magical bunk beds, a library that converts to a bedroom with a queen-size wall bed, 4 1/2 bathrooms, a living room, an open dining area, large pantry, and bar.
The Wish Tower Suite also has its very own grand staircase and features walk-in closets and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the deep blue sea.
Experience one of two original storylines at Disney’s very first at-sea attraction
The Disney Wish will feature Disney’s first-ever attraction on the high seas, the AquaMouse. The water attraction will include music, characters, and special effects through one of two Mickey and Minnie-themed storylines–“Scuba Scramble” and “Swiss Meltdown.”
The attraction makes use of video screens that help to tell the stories while giant conveyor belts pull rafts up before letting them splash down.
Choose between one-story and two-story suites
Guests who book a sailing aboard the Disney Wish will have the option to choose either a one- or two-story suite. The Wish is the first of Disney’s fleet to offer two-story suites. The Princess Aurora Royal Suite and the Briar Rose Royal Suite boast two master bedrooms, stained-glass artwork, private hot tubs on the veranda, and living and dining areas as well.
Dine with Anna and Elsa under the Northern Lights
Disney’s very first Frozen-themed dining experience will be available aboard the Disney Wish. Guests can enjoy sing-alongs, activities at their tables, and even special effects that look like the aurora borealis, or Northern Lights. The dining experience is an engagement celebration for Anna and Kristoff.
Go back in time for dinner at “1923”
Named for the year that the Walt Disney Company was founded, the 1923 restaurant will take dining Guests on a journey through the creation, growth, and accomplishments of Walt’s company with more than 900 different props, models, hand sketches, and other pieces of the company’s history.
The menu will include Asian, European, and South American cuisine.
Have drinks in a galaxy far, far away
Aboard the Disney Wish, adults can head to the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge where the view out the windows gives Guests the feeling of soaring through the cosmos aboard a spaceship. Tatooine, Batuu, Mustafar, and Coruscant can all be seen at the panoramic “viewport,” and the view changes every 10 minutes or so, giving Guests the experience of traveling through the galaxy.
These experiences are just the beginning for Guests who book sailings aboard the Disney Wish.
Other offerings include exclusive theater shows, interactive family scavenger hunts, a Marvel-themed dining experience, complete with a mission with the Avengers while dining, and even a Toy Story-themed water play area for the little ones and a sports arena as well.
