If you’ve kept up with news regarding the upcoming live-action Snow White (2024) film, then you’ve probably heard the same thing we have: due to the vast controversies, the remake is to be shelved, abandoned, and overall canceled.

However, these are just rumors, and the Walt Disney Company has yet to confirm anything. As of right now, Marc Webb’s Snow White film is still very much planned. After all, it’s incredibly unlikely that Disney would waste all of the money gone into the film only to abandon it because of a little bad press.
That being said, the Walt Disney Company has done its best to draw attention from the live-action film amidst the recent controversial fiascoes.

From the lack of seven dwarves to the changes being made to the original story, there’s been a fair amount of controversy at the reimagined fairy tale’s every turn. But the bulk of the scandals has to do with leading lady Rachel Zegler and some of the comments she’s made regarding the project and the original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) film.
In the interest of avoiding a rehashing of the same story everyone’s telling, we won’t delve into Rachel Zegler’s comments here. The general public’s opinion of all things Snow White is currently so bad that Disney hasn’t even bothered disproving these rumors. Nor has any of the cast, including Rachel Zegler.
While we haven’t heard from anyone regarding the upcoming film, we have heard from the original Snow White movie; 1937 called, and it wanted to remind everyone why Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is one of the greatest films ever made.

As a part of its Disney100 celebration, the original Snow White will be rereleased as a 4K UHD Blu-Ray for the first time ever, and will be available beginning October 10.
Some of the general public remain suspicious, though, claiming that this is being done on Disney’s part in an attempt to regain the money it’ll lose when Snow White eventually flops. The claims state that a Disney100 rerelease is just a convenient coverup, not a coincidence.
In any case, both Snow White and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will soon be back on our minds as Disney prepares to drop the new release.
