Shocking Allegations: Nine Women Accuse Disney Star of Sexual Misconduct

For over thirty years, Jared Leto has built a career that spans Hollywood’s silver screen, as well as music and the broader cultural landscape. From his iconic role in My So-Called Life to his portrayals in Suicide Squad (2016) and Dallas Buyers Club (2013), Leto has proven his versatility as an actor. He has also been a prominent figure in the music industry as the lead vocalist of Thirty Seconds to Mars, a band he co-founded in 1998 with his brother Shannon.

But now, just as his career appears to be on an unstoppable upward trajectory, Leto is facing serious accusations that could change everything.

In a bombshell report by Air Mail, nine women have accused Leto of sexual misconduct, with some of the women claiming to have been as young as 16 when they were allegedly targeted.

The accusations against Leto have resurfaced at a time when he is in the public eye, both for his role in Disney’s Haunted Mansion (2023) and his upcoming portrayal of Ares in Tron: Ares, scheduled for release in October 2025.

These new accusations are far from the first time Leto has been publicly scrutinized for his behavior toward young women. The Air Mail investigation highlights troubling claims of inappropriate conduct dating back to the early 2000s. A 2005 article from the New York Post even reported that Leto had a penchant for hanging around young models and sending sexual messages to 16-year-olds.

According to multiple sources, Leto’s behavior was not an isolated incident, but part of an ongoing pattern that had been known in certain circles for years. One accuser, in fact, described the situation as an “open secret.”

Some of the more recent allegations involve a 2008 encounter with model Laura La Rue, who was 16 at the time.

La Rue attended a private animal-rights event in Beverly Hills, where she alleges that Leto, who was reportedly watching her from across the room, walked out of a room completely naked.

At Yes! on Prop Two, an animal-rights benefit held at a private residence in Beverly Hills, La Rue remembers Leto spotting her from across the room. He was watching her so intensely, she says, that her mother, who was also at the benefit, noticed.

Flattered by the star’s attention, La Rue says, she continued to visit Leto sporadically over the next few months. On one occasion, she alleges, he walked out of a room completely naked. “He just walked out, dick out, like it was normal,” she says. La Rue didn’t know what to think—she was 17 when the incident took place. “I thought maybe this was just what adult men do,” she says.

As the accusations mount, many have begun questioning how Leto’s celebrity status and influential position in Hollywood may have enabled his alleged behavior to continue unchecked. One model revealed that after Leto contacted her, he repeatedly tried to initiate conversations that quickly turned sexual.

Another woman, an actress who was underage when she first began communicating with him, described a visit to his home that turned uncomfortable. According to her, Leto made unsolicited sexual advances, culminating in a disturbing and violent episode in which he allegedly exposed himself and made aggressive demands.

In another disturbing account, a Los Angeles DJ named Allie Tielz came forward to allege that Leto assaulted her backstage at a club when she was 17.

“Youre [sic] not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… In a kilt.. And a snow hat.”

“I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17,” she wrote in another Instagram story. “He knew my age and didn’t care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable.”

She added a comment: “Throwback to 2012, Jared Leto was a creep then … still a creep now, going on 15+ years of being Hollywood’s most persistent predator in a kilt.” And another: “29+ years of being a pedophile. when does this end? protect our girls 💗 #jaredleto.” (“Ms. Teilz’s allegations are demonstrably false,” says a representative for Leto.)

As disturbing as these allegations are, they are not entirely new. Leto’s controversial reputation as a method actor, who is known for fully embodying his characters, has also raised eyebrows in Hollywood. His infamous off-screen behavior, such as sending bizarre items like used condoms and dead animals to his co-stars, has left many in the industry uncomfortable with his methods.

His defense, through his representatives, has been a blanket denial of all allegations.

The question now is whether these serious accusations will lead to further investigation. The allegations have placed Leto’s career in jeopardy, and they have cast a shadow over his upcoming role in Tron: Ares, one of the most highly anticipated films in Disney’s upcoming slate.
