With Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary just a couple of weeks away, we’re seeing Disney unveiling more and more experiences prior to the big launch on October 1. Not only are we preparing for the newest Disney Park restaurant, Space 220 to open next week at EPCOT, but we’re also gearing up for a new Disney Resort restaurant making its way in! We recently shared the news that Disney is getting a new restaurant, located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Replacing the former “The Wave… Flavors of America”, Steakhouse 71 is scheduled to open its doors for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on October 1, 2021. As of today, September 16, dining reservations are open and the pricing for menu items has been revealed!

The Walt Disney World website describes the new family-friendly new Steakhouse 71 restaurant with: “Get a taste of Disney heritage when you dine at the newest restaurant in Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Named for the year Disney’s Contemporary Resort first opened, Steakhouse 71 harkens back to the design style of the 1970s, reimagined in a contemporary, comfortable and sleek way. You’ll even notice some Florida flare—such as Orange Bird and citrus groves—mixed in with the décor.”

At Steakhouse 71, you’ll have a chance to feast on a delicious menu that offers a nod to Walt Disney himself. Choose from dishes inspired by some of Walt’s favorites, including The Steakhouse 71 Feast or Walt’s Prime Rib Hash for breakfast and French Onion Soup, Prime Rib, 6-oz Filet Mignon, or Dry-aged Bone-In Pork Chop for lunch or dinner. Pricing on the breakfast menu and lunch menu range between $15 to $34.99 per adult depending on what entree and extras you select. From the dinner menu, you’ll be spending between $35 to $59.99 per adult for an entree. Of course, if you want classic cocktails and a portfolio of Disney family wines, you will need to add that cost into the budget. And don’t forget the yummy dessert selections such as the Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake. It is 15 layers of whiskey infused chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and raspberries – one layer for every floor at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. You can see the cake in the drool-worthy photo below.
Steakhouse 71 also features a lounge that is the escape you’re looking for. Disney notes the Steakhouse 71 Lounge as a chance to: “Settle into comfortable lounge seating and sip on beverages reminiscent of the 1970s. Enjoy drinks inspired by the history of the area, including cocktails that evoke scents of citrus groves, and so much more. We also invite you to taste modern interpretations of classic dishes, such as PB&J Chicken Wings, Loaded Macaroni and Cheese, and the house classic Bacon and Eggs.”
