Rachel Zegler, set to portray Snow White in a live-action film, faced controversy for her comments criticizing the original story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs produced by Walt Disney.

Rachel Zegler started her journey to stardom with a viral video in 2017 when she auditioned for the role of Maria in Steven Spielberg’s remake of the classic musical West Side Story. Zegler’s portrayal of Maria in West Side Story was nothing short of sensational. She captured the essence of the character with her powerful singing voice and undeniable on-screen chemistry, earning critical acclaim and audience admiration. Her performance proved that she was not just a newcomer but a force to be reckoned with in the world of cinema.

Despite her early success, Zegler has not been without her share of controversies. Her comments about the character of Snow White in a live-action adaptation stirred debate and even fueled rumors that she might be dropped from the project. However, Zegler’s resilience and willingness to speak her mind demonstrate her dedication to her craft and her commitment to staying true to her artistic vision. Some fans were upset by the film’s deviations from the iconic story, including the absence of traditional dwarfs and the lack of a prince charming to rescue Snow White.

Zegler made comments in interviews about interviews that this movie would depart significantly from the original 1937 version, a beloved classic crafted by Walt Disney himself. Zelger made comments about removing the prince from the live-action Snow White.

“I just mean that it’s no longer 1937,” Zegler said. “We absolutely wrote a ‘Snow White’ that … she’s not going to be saved by the prince, and she’s not going to be dreaming about true love; she’s going to be dreaming about becoming the leader she knows she can be and that her late father told her that she could be if she was fearless, fair, brave and true.”

Andrew Burnap’s character may be removed if Zegler gets her way with the princeless movie, according to reports. Gal Godot is also starring in the Snow White live-action as the Evil Queen.

There have been rumors that Rachel Zegler may have been dropped, particularly after she was reportedly no longer set to star in Paddington 3. However, there has been no official confirmation of her departure, and Zegler continues to post content related to Snow White on social media. As a matter of fact, there have been a number of reports going viral claiming that Zegler was fired from her role, but none of those have any merit.

Just recently, Zegler posted a Tweet that tricked some fans– at least for a second– sharing that “the rumors were true,” but it wasn’t what you would think. The post has since gone viral with hundreds of thousands of views, and she is clearly having a bit of fun with those reports and backlash that she has received.

the rumors are true 🙁 i am three apples tall

Disney is well-known for its commitment to protecting its image, and it has faced both praise and criticism for its efforts in recent times. Some critics argue that Disney has become overly “woke” and is pushing for “unnecessary diversity,” particularly in its films, which has led to a backlash. Some of these films include Strange World, Lightyear, Turing Redand many more films. Fans believe some of these films push beliefs and ideas into children.

Do you think Rachel Zegler should be removed as Snow White?

  1. This post is so biased and pro woman its sad, do better, she’s annoying and we all hate to hear her voice and “acting’.

  2. I’m confused by your comment about Zegler’s success with West Side Story. That movie lost hundreds of millions at the box office.

Rachel Ziegler is one of the most unpleasant unlikable disgusting untalented egoist. I have nothing nice to say about her whatsoever. I will freaking boycott everything that she’s in beginning with Snow. White Disney has absolutely lost their minds. The only way that I would even consider watching that paying out any money to watch. That is if there are seven doors and there is an actress who is with skin as white as snow so that better be someone. Other than that, little b you know what it ends with a c and they’re better be a prince. They’re better be a love scene. Disney has lost it. I mean they they’ve just they have no common sense they they’ve totally gone off their rocker woke and just the word is stupid. There’s no other way to say it. They’re stupid so I really hope they go bankrupt and maybe just maybe they’ll wake up and go. You know what if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Maybe they’ll smarten up but I will never ever watch anything that that creature is starring in beginning with the snow, the Snow White remake
