Over the years, certain pieces of Disney merchandise have become extremely popular and Guests can’t wait to add them to their Disney collections. From mouse ears to spirit jerseys and Loungefly backpacks, there is certainly no shortage of incredible merchandise options. One thing that has become extremely popular in the last few years is Disney popcorn buckets. Disney has created a number of amazing popcorn buckets with incredible details — like the Millennium Falcon, Cinderella’s Carriage, and Mummy Mickey Mouse.

When Disney releases new popcorn buckets, some Guests will line up for hours to get one. Yes, you read that right, hours. When Disney released a Figment popcorn bucket during the 2022 Festival of the Arts, Guests waited in line for 5 hours. The Figment popcorn buckets sold out in less than two days and, when they were finally restocked, Guests could only purchase them through mobile order.

As you can see, popcorn buckets are the newest Disney “it” item. And now we have another one that Cars fans will absolutely need to add to their collection. In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the opening of Cars Land in Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort, Disney has released an incredible popcorn bucket that looks just like Lightning McQueen’s best friend, Mater, complete with rust stains and working wheels.

This is not the first super popular and fun popcorn bucket that Disneyland has released recently. In honor of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney’s Main Street Electrical Parade, Disneyland released an Elliot popcorn themed after the giant green and pink dragon. They also released a sipper that looked like one of the light-up turtles in the parade. Both items sold out in a matter of days.

According to Disney, this tow-tally awesome popcorn bucket will be available all summer at the Disney Park and can be purchased for $22.99. As with other popcorn buckets, it is possible that it may be sold out at times, but don’t worry, Disney will restock. The Mater popcorn bucket can be purchased in Cars Land at Flo’s V8 Café, Fillmore’s Taste-In, and The Cozy Cone Motel. Theme park Guests will be limited to two Tow Mater buckets per person.
