IT’S TRUE! Johnny Depp is Dating Former Lawyer (and She’s Married)!

The rumors are TRUE! Johnny Depp is dating Joelle Rich, a married lawyer who represented him in his U.K. defamation trial. Rumors of the coupling have persisted for months but have never been confirmed until now. Despite losing that trial, Depp doesn’t seem to hold a grudge

Rich, a mother of two, who is currently separated from her husband, is in the process of a divorce. She is based in London, where she works as an attorney to “high-profile clients.” According to their website, her firm, Schillings, “helps high-profile people protect their privacy and reputations,” according to the company’s website.

She was with him for part of the six-week defamation trial against Amber Heard in Virginia earlier this year but played no role in his defense team here in the United States. The pair were often seen smoking together during court recess and even roomed together at Ritz-Carlton in McLean, Virginia.

US Weekly broke the story just hours ago. An ‘insider’ told the publication, “their chemistry is off the charts. It’s serious between them. They are the real deal.” US Weekly reached out to representatives for both Depp and Rich, but neither would comment.

Depo was accused of dating his Virginia lawyer, Camille Vasquez. Both vehemently denied the allegations. Vasquez, in particular, was insulted, saying, “It’s also an unethical charge being made. It’s unfortunate, and it’s disappointing, but at the same time, it kind of comes with the territory. I can’t say I was all that surprised.” Perhaps she was unsurprised because she already knew Depp was dating another of his lawyers?

Rich defended Depp, who sued UK publication, The Sun for liable after they called him a wife-beater following ex-wife Amber Heard’s accusations of domestic violence in 2018. U.K courts, which have a different standard for proving liable and slander than American courts do, found The Sun’s statement to be valid since Heard had, in fact, accused him.
