By now, it’s no secret that Disney Guest behavior has been…a little out of control. From altercations to actual fist fights, Guests visiting Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort have been more unruly than ever since the Parks reopened during the pandemic.
There’s no one reason for inconsiderate behavior at Walt Disney World. Rather, it’s an entire amalgamation of factors.

For one, Disney’s customer service reputation is one of the best in the world. For years, there was this idea that Disney Cast Members and the Guest Experience Team would do literally anything in their power to create a magical experience, from bending the rules to giving Guests special treatment.
Unfortunately, Disney’s customer service department is no longer so lenient.

Another factor is the exorbitant cost of a Disney vacation. Everything, from rent to groceries to visiting Walt Disney World, is more expensive than it’s ever been, adding extra pressure onto Guests to make the experience as magical as possible.
To add to the pressure, the COVID pandemic emphasized some base instincts in a lot of us, namely the idea that it’s ‘every man for himself,’ even when visiting Disney World.

This can translate to Guests nearly trampling each other to be the first in line to Guests even stealing from each other while visiting the Most Magical Place on Earth.
But for one group of Guests, in particular, it translates to setting up a picnic right in front of the castle:

In this social media post, we can see that a group of Guests has set up a picnic with a full cake in front of the Castle, which would impede the structure for any other Guests.
In the photo, Cast Members are visibly shutting the small event down. While we don’t know the full story, we don’t need to know the details to know this is a new level of ‘entitled’ behavior, as other fans have pointed out in the social media post’s comments.
