Walt Disney World is known as “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” however, some Disney Guests experienced a “nightmare” when they found themselves trapped on the Disney Skyliner.

Disney Guests staying on-site can use Disney transportation to get from Park to Park or to different Disney Resorts. These transportation systems, which include the Disney monorail, Disney buses, and the Disney Skyliner, help get Guests around Walt Disney World Resort with ease. The newest of these, of course, is the Disney Skyliner.

The Disney Skyliner is a state-of-the-art transportation system introduced by the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It is a unique gondola system that allows Guests to travel between select resorts and theme parks while enjoying stunning views of the surrounding areas. The transportation system conveniently connects Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the International Gateway at EPCOT to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, and Disney’s Riviera Resort.

In addition, the station at International Gateway at EPCOT is conveniently located just a short walk away from Disney’s BoardWalk entertainment district, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.

Thought the Disney Skyliner is certainly a fun way to get around, it can be a little scary for those who have a fear of heights. Disney Dining covered a recent incident shared by Guests on TikTok showing why some with fears of heights might be hesitant to ride the gondolas. These Disney World Guests shared that they were stuck in the Skyliner for more than 40 minutes. When they finally arrived to the station, we are happy to update that they got a gift card and water from Disney Cast Members.

While inconvenient, these Guests were never in any real danger. Disney Cast Members who operate the Disney Skyliner are expertly trained to handle mishaps that might occur with the transportation system. The gondolas are closed in and rarely experience any kind of malfunction. They are also a very convenient way to get to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios from several of the select Disney Resorts.
